Prime your minds for an especially tangled chrono-spatial conundrum: Warlords of Draenor Timewalking is here!

Players level 101 and over will be able to adventure into six of Warlords of Draenor’s dungeons to reap new rewards all week during this week’s Bonus Event. Your character and items will be scaled down to a power level fitting for the challenge at hand, but bosses will yield loot appropriate for your regular level. Timewalking dungeons also have a chance to drop items that usually drop when you run them on Heroic, and you’ll earn reputation with a faction that is interested in the dungeon.

This Week

Look for the following all week long:

  • Chronicler Shoopa in Zuldazar and Chronicler Toopa in Boralus have a quest for you. You can also start the quest from within the Adventure Guide (Shift-J).
    • Quest Requirement: Complete 5 Timewalking dungeons.
    • Rewards: Artifact Power and one box containing a piece of gear from Normal difficulty Battle of Dazar’alor.

Simply open the Group Finder (default hotkey: I) and then select Dungeon Finder and Timewalking in the Type dropdown menu. Selecting Find Group will match you with other players and send you to one of the following Heroic dungeons:

Auchindoun
Auchindoun is the holy mausoleum of the draenei, a sanctum of the Light in which the spirits of the dead find respite. The crystalline structure also serves to protect and shield draenei souls from their eternal enemies: the Burning Legion, who hunger for draenei spirits. This fact makes it a location of particular interest to Gul’dan and his Shadow Council, who seek to gain favor with their demonic masters.

The Bloodmaul Slag Mines
On the northern outskirts of Frostfire Ridge, the Bloodmaul ogres run a brutal mining operation amidst the sweltering heat of active volcanic caverns. Slaves from across Draenor are transported to the mines, never to leave alive. The Slag Mines produce abundant yields of gemstones and ore, but it is rumored that the true purpose of these mines is to dig for an ancient relic of immense power.

The Everbloom
After the disruption of the Dark Portal, the Kirin Tor realized that to fight the Iron Horde on their own soil, they would need a supply line to reinforcements. Thus, they created outposts across Draenor with magical links back to Azeroth. Unfortunately, what seemed like a prime strategic location near the Blackrock Foundry was known to botani as the Everbloom, a sacred place within the Gorgrond woodlands. The outpost was quickly overgrown, but it still contains a link to the outskirts of Stormwind. . . .

Iron Docks
On the northern coast of Gorgrond, the Iron Docks represent the heart of the Iron Horde’s naval might. Huge warships and artillery forged and assembled within the Blackrock Foundry are readied for war within this massive port. The greatest beasts of Draenor are broken and trained alongside elite infantry units, comprising the ground troops that will surge ashore to break the will of any who would dare oppose the Iron Horde.

Shadowmoon Burial Grounds
The traditional burial grounds of the Shadowmoon clan are the final resting place for countless generations of ancestors. The fallen chieftan Ner’zhul, in the depths of his depravity, has sacrificed the very soul of his clan in a desperate quest for power. Now the ancestral spirits are restless, tormented and used to fuel dark rituals that will pull all of Draenor into the void if allowed to run their course.

Skyreach
Atop the crowning pinnacle of the Spires of Arak, amidst the clouds, Skyreach stands as the seat of power of the Adherents of Rukhmar. The arakkoa have gathered and harnessed the Apexis technology of their forebears, and now they are ready to unleash the focused power of the sun upon their enemies.

To learn more about each dungeon’s bosses, tips, and view the available loot, check out the Adventure Guide (Shift-J), select the Dungeons tab, then choose Warlords of Draenor from the drop-down menu.

Warlords of Draenor Timewalking Rewards

You’ll also be able to visit the Timewalking vendors Tempra in Stormshield and Kronnus in Warspear. They’ll be waiting to take your hard-earned Timewarped Badges in exchange for some tempting rewards:

  • 2 Mounts—Beastlord’s Irontusk and Beastlord’s Warwolf
  • 2 Toys—Apexis Focusing Shard and Banner of the Burning Blade
  • Reputation Tokens for all major Warlords of Draenor factions including: Arakkoa Outcasts, Steamwheedle Preservation Society, Order of the Awakened, Saberstalkers, Frostwolf Orcs/Council of Exarchs, Laughing Skull Orcs/Sha’tari Defense, Hand of the Prophet
  • Plus more! Additional Warlords of Draenor equipment will be available during this event.

About Bonus Events

Bonus Events occur on a rotating schedule of different activities, currently scheduled to run each week beginning on Tuesdays. Each Bonus Event grants a passive bonus to a particular game activity and offers a once-per-event quest with a reward for accomplishing a related goal. Check the in-game calendar regularly to keep on top of the scheduled events. The Adventure Guide also offers a direct link to active Bonus Events, allowing you to easily accept any quests associated with the Bonus Event of the week.

No Grimrail Depot? ?

No Grimrail Depot? ?

I think it's pretty much arbitrary which dungeons they pick for TW - UBRS is missing as well.

I you want to fish for a reason, they may not have wanted to include the mechanically "more challenging" dungeons. During Wrath Timewalking Pit of Saron is already pretty tight. It can be a real pain in the *filtered* if you run it with people that have never done it before. Imagine if they'd included the Oculus ? Even that reasoning, however, does not explain, why they would exclude the Depot. That one was not too complex iirc. Second phase of second boss is maybe slightly more complex, but not enough to warrant excluding grimrail imo. The Dungeon itself was awesome and something completely new. So it's kind of sad, they don't want to show that one off again.

Now if only they brought back Challenge Modes or some other way to get those sets or weapon xmogs... I was dumb enough to not do them back in the day. I'd gladly do the whole thing on my hunter to get a shot at the howling beast set or the anti-tank-laser-gun... Mage Tower was pretty much the only thing that kept me playing during the end of legion

?

I'm new. (Playing for like a week)  How come it says Item Level 350 gear but when I look at the gear the item numbers are around 130? Is that just the old wiki explanation?

Wowdb tooltips. This is the base ilvl in their database and there can be multiple versions of the same item with a different ilvl.

Yes ilvl 350 @ level 120.

Basically this. Timewarped Gear scales to your level, at the moment you got the item. That goes for items dropped in TW dungeons as well as the ones you buy from the vendors.

There is however another scaling going on: Your current gear, as in the stuff you wear when you enter a timewarped dungeon, will get scaled down, so it will have two different ilvls displayed, the "real" one in parentheses and the scaled down one in front of that. As soon as you leave the instance, the item will be brought back up to its "real" ilvl.

So TW-gear does indeed scale, but not like Heirlooms, meaning, TW-gear will not grow with you. So imo there's no real point in buying stuff while leveling as you will outgrow the item very quickly. It can still be a great way to replace that one trinket you have been carrying around for 50 levels though... TW-Gear or dungeons in general are however probably the best way to boost fresh 120 characters to a very reasonable ilvl of 350 give or take, saving you a lot of WQ grinding. Add the weekly quest for 5 instances and you get some raid lvl gear as a cherry on top.

Technically it might be better to get boosted through mythics by friends with an armor specific group, but without said friends willing to help that's not possible. TW you can queue up though the dungeon finder, so you could do it alone as well.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
