Kanai cube: Reroll legendary that has missing affix

Hello all,

does anyone know if you have an old legendary/ancient/primal item that is missing an affix from a recent upgrade to game, can it be re-rolled in the cube to get the new affix?

ie. Flavor of time that has no double pylon time

Im having the same problem on ps4. Don't have the option to sacrifice a new version of the item to kanai and the only thing that comes to mind is wiping the game and starting from scratch ☹
