Shadowlands: Kyrian Covenant Class-Specific Abilities

In Shadowlands, each realm is ruled by a different Covenenant. You will be able to switch between four Covenants, each granting you a class-specific and a general ability. Here's a preview of the Kyrian Covenant's class-specific abilities taken from Sloot's stream.

The Covenant abilities work pretty much like Garrison zone abilities back in Warlords of Draenor. If you're in Bastion, you're going to have access to the following class-specific (and in some cases, specialization-specific abilities):

Blizzard LogoBlizzard

Death Knight

  • Shackle the Unworthy (30 yd range, Instant, 1 min cooldown) - Admonish your target for their past transgressions, reducing the damage they deal to you by 5% and dealing 12,060 Arcane damage over 14 sec.
    • Shackle the Unworthy's cooldown is reduced by 4 sec when you damage the affected enemy with a Rune spending attack.

Demon Hunter

  • Elysian Decree (Instant, 1 min cooldown) - Carve runes into the ground in front of you, which detonate to deal 7,004 Arcane damage and shatter 3 Lesser Soul Fragments from enemies.

Druid

Balance

  • Purity's Vale - Fill the target area with anima for 16 sec. Within the vale of your Intellect and Stamina are increased by 20%, and you gain Solar Empowerment every 4 sec.
    • Solar Empowerment - Causes your next Solar Wrath to explode for an additional 62% of its damage to all nearby enemies and reduces its cast time by 15%.

Feral

  • Purity's Vale (18 yd range, Instant, 2 min cooldown) - Fill the target with anima for 16 sec. Within the vale your Agility and Stamina are increased by 20% and you gain Clearcasting every 4 sec.
    • Clearcasting - Your next Shred, Thrash, or Swipe costs no Energy and deals 15% increased damage.

Guardian

  • Purity's Vale (18 yd range, Instant, 2 min cooldown) - Fill the target with anima for 16 sec. Within the vale your Agility and Stamina are increased by 20% and you gain Gore every 4 sec.
    • Gore - Resets the cooldown on Mangle, and causes it to generate an additional 4 Rage.

Restoration

  • Purity's Vale (20 yd range, Instant, 2 min cooldown) - Fill the target with anima for 16 sec. Within the vale your Intellect and Stamina are increased by 20% and you gain Clearcasting every 4 sec.
    • Clearcasting - Your next Regrowth is free.

Hunter

  • Resonance Trap - Hurls a resonance trap to the target location that fills the area with echoing anima for 10 sec when the first enemy approaches it. The effect causes your attacks to ignore line of sight to enemies in the area, and you have 30% increased critical strike chance against them. Trap will exist for 1 min.

Mage

  • Radiant Spark - Conjure a radiant spark that causes 3,257 Arcane damage instantly, and an additional 1,404 damage over 8 sec.
    • The target takes 25% increased damage from your direct damage spells, stacking each time they are struck. This effect ends after 4 spells.

Monk

Brewmaster

  • Weapons of Order (Instant, 2 min cooldown) - For the next 30 sec, your Mastery is increased by 15%. Additionally, Keg Smash cooldown is reset instantly and enemies hit by Keg Smash take 5% increased damage from you for 8 sec, stacking up to 5 times.

Mistweaver

  • Weapons of Order (Costs 10,000 Mana, 2 min cooldown, Instant) - For the next 30 sec, your Mastery is increased by 15%. Additionally, Essence Font cooldown is reset instantly and heals nearby allies for 12,091 health on channel start and end.

Windwalker

  • Weapons of Order - For the next 30 sec, your Mastery is increased by 15%. Additionally, Rising Sun Kick cooldown is reset instantly and your Rising Sun Kick reduces the cost of your Chi Abilities by 1 for 5 sec.

Paladin

  • Divine Toll (30 yd range, Instant, 1 min cooldown) - Instantly cast Holy Shock, Avenger's Shield, or Judgment on all valid targets within 30 yds (based on your current specialization).

Priest

  • Blind Faith - Your cast time spells become instant, and your channel time is reduced by 50%. Lasts 8 sec. Upon expiring, your cast and channeling speed is slowed by 20% for 4 seconds.

Rogue

  • Echoing Reprimand - Deal 4,058 Arcane damage to an enemy, gathering some of their anima.
    • Awards 1 Animacharged combo point, which lasts for 12 sec and is not expended when you use a finishing move.

Shaman

  • Vesper Totem - Summons a totem at the target location for 12 sec that grants 20% Mastery to the closest ally within 8 yds. The totem prefers to empower you, if you are within range.

Warlock

  • Scouring Tithe - Deals 5,106 Arcane damage instantly, and 8,228 over 18 sec. If the enemy dies while affected by Scouring Tithe, you generate 5 Soul Shards. If they survive. Scouting Tithe's cooldown is refreshed.

Warrior

  • Spear of Bastion - Throw a Kyrian speak at the target location, dealing 11,050 Arcane damage instantly and an additional 11,936 damage over 4 sec.
    • Enemies hit are tethered to Spear of Bastion's location for the duration.
    • Generates 25 Rage

I think those should be cosmetic only, having abilities associated with Covenant choice will be a hell to balance. Some choices might turn out to be pointless, as people will figure out which one is the strongest.

There will always be min-maxxers and I believe adding options like this is interesting. 

On paper, I feel like Priest can really abuse theirs here, so do Rogue. Warriors get an escape potentially.

      Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
      We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
      Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

      Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
      The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
      The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

      All Percentiles
      As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
      U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
      Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.

      For the next two weeks, the Archaeology quest for Spirit of Eche'ro is available on live servers, so don't forget to get the rare mount before it's gone for 6 months!
      How to Get the Spirit of Eche'ro Mount
      1. Download MapCoords or some other add-os that displays coordinates in the game.
      2. Teleport to Azsuna from the Stormwind/Orgrimmar Portal Room or use your Dalaran Hearthstone to reach Dalaran (Legion) if you have one in your inventory.
      3. Seek out Archaeology Trainer Dariness the Learned in Dalaran at 41,26 and learn Archaeology if you already haven't.
      4. Accept The Right Path quest from the Archaeology Trainer and make your way to Thunder Totem in Highmountain.
      5. Talk to Lessah Moonwater to accept Laying to Rest. For the quest, you must collect 600 Bone Fragments of Eche'ro by rotating between four digsites in Highmountain. The exact locations with coords are outlined below.
      Digsite 1: Darkfeather Valley (50, 44) Digsite 2: Dragon's Falls (58, 72) Digsite 3: Path of Huin (44, 72) Digsite 4: Whitewater Wash (39, 65) it takes roughly around 2 hours to get the mount.
      Spirit of Eche'ro
      "The spirit of Huln Highmountain's pet moose."

      Hurry up! You only have until August 21, 2024, to get the mount!

      MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
      With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

      We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
      When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
      MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
