I know there is no set on the stone list for them but is there any item / gear you found useful and easier to farm / obtain ? Hybrys 199 Report post Posted February 24, 2014 I'm going to be doing them shortly on my rogue, but really, it's pretty awful for any melee. Typically, you need to be Combat for these, just due to the amount of AoEing necessary to get Gold. Along with that, you want two ToT weapons with Haste on them (for double sockets), the ToT trash/LFR neck w/ a socket, and any other gear you can get with Haste and a large number of sockets. Remember your Shadow Walk ability, as it should let you run past pretty well any packs that require others to Invisibility Potion past. I'd recommend Glyph of Redirect, and Glyph of Smoke Bomb as a minimum. Momentum may also be a good choice, but you may not be able to expect many killing blows, esp if you run with a class that has an execute. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Hybrys 199 Report post Posted February 24, 2014 I'll most likely be using Hand of the Dark Animus and Wu-Lai, Bladed Fan of the Consorts. And this is the neck I was talking about Necklace of the Terra-Cotta Archer. Beyond that, any gear with good haste and as many gem sockets as possible is the way to go. 3 in Chest, 3 in Pants, 2 in Shoulders, 1 in each Ring for best in slot. Even Garrosh BOAs would be better than what you linked....... ToT weapons are very strong because they have a socket and you can add an additional prismatic socket with the legendary quest chain. Again, sha-touched gems do not work. Legendary meta doesn't work. The 500 stat gems do NOT work in CMs, and ToT weapons do allow two sockets w/ Eye of the Black Prince, similar to the Garrosh BoAs. However, unlike the Garrosh BoA axe, these weapons have Haste, which is extremely valuable in CMs due to the high level of Blade Flurry usage, and the reduction of your stats. Hands down, the two weapons I linked are BiS. You can use any combination of those two w/ the extra sockets for the highest Agi and Haste per weapon. The Garrosh BoA dagger could be subbed for the OH if you'd like, but I run slow/slow for combat, and you'd end up with less haste than the others. I'll be using Relic of Xuen and another big Agi trinket, such as: Renataki's Soul Charm due to it's large portion of Expertise and scaling proc. or Talisman of Bloodlust due to it's passive Agi and Haste proc, which will just be another energy regen boost, which is always helpful. or Bottle of Infinite Stars due to it's rather large proc uptime. Unfortunately, AoC isn't great for CMs, because the CD reduction is reduced to 17%. That means a 20 second reduction to KS, and a ~30 sec reduction to Blades/AR. The Multistrike trinket similarly scales poorly, with it only have a 6.1% chance to proc, and the proc being much lower because of your overall lower ilvl. The Ticking Ebonator is the only viable option, and it's still a poor one because of the low value of Mastery. You could probably game the proc with CDs, but it would still be close in value to Bottle of Infinite Stars (Which has a high value because of the uptime of the proc.)
