Falcifer 7 Report post Posted March 12, 2014 Firstly, unless you're struggling on progression and really need to min/max everything, a race change probably won't be noticeably beneficial. Having said that, Shadowcraft.mmo-mumble.com has an option to choose your race, and it will give you a rough idea of the relative gain/loss. For me (ilvl 573 assassination rogue) troll and worgen give me the highest score, at 350994.2 and 350945.3 respectively. Human is the lowest, at 347992.7. Undead gives me 349170.9. Overall, that's a 3k difference between the highest and lowest, which is roughly 0.86%. It might be slightly different with other specs, but I wouldn't consider < 1% to be worth a race change. And with the changes to racials that are coming in WoD, things will probably be very different. Then again, I did race change from worgen to human because of how helms looked on a worgen, so take my advice with a pinch of salt Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Sarnen 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2014 so I see, I'm looking at 1000 dps changes. Pretty trivial really. Guess I'll stay belf. And honestly? While goblin leap is useful I quite frankly get lots of us out of arcane torrent as an emergency interrupt. Fouton 266 Report post Posted March 12, 2014 I love my blood elf prot paladin for that reason. With the loss of avengers shield silencing all 3 targets, it really makes up for AoE grouping. Krushinator 49 Report post Posted March 13, 2014 PvP is a different story, a tiny edge over another player can be the difference between getting the kill and getting killed.
