Am I underperforming?

Hey all,

 

I've been playing around with Fire for about a month now and while my DPS has improved, I still feel like I'm underperforming given my gear. I have included a log of a near-full SoO 10m I completed recently, and I was hoping some kind soul would be able to take a read through them and tell me what (if anything) I am doing wrong.

 

Note: I did not have either my current bracers or the Pennyroyal ring equipped, as I got them during this run.

Hi Wumbology,

 

only looked at Malkorok and Galakras. Your Bomb Uptime is way to low (only 75% on Malk, 64% on Galakras) and to the amount of casted Bombs I assume you do not snapshot your bombs (start doing so . IE Uptime could be a bit higher (91% is not that bad). Don't use Slow Fall on Malkorok, just blink when you are thrown in the air.

 

You upgraded your Pennyroyal ring although your KTT (which I assume you had before the raid already) is still without upgrades. Upgrade KTT as soon as possible.

 

I'm not 100% sure but I think that even as fire you would chosse Nether Tempest on Galakras. (According to IVs Fire Mage Guide LB is correct)

PS: Just for Comparison I do about 20-30k DPS more on Malkorok and ~ 40k on Galakras with iLvl 554 as Frost.

Hi,

 

First of all, you seem to be a bit heavy on the haste, and only 13.3k crit is not the best amount, but it should work. Your gemming and reforging seems almost fine. I would absolutely upgrade that Trinket though. 

 

That Living Bomb uptime needs to go up, on Malkorok you only had 89.51% Pyromaniac uptime, and you ideally want to have that up for every spell which profits from it. You forgot to use a potion during the fight(Or you used it too late during the pull and were unable to use it again but I can't tell from this), you want to capture that in your 2nd Alter Time. Invoker's Energy seems to be fine on Juggernaut and Siege as well. I'd advise you to simply be careful and remember to keep that up.

 

Which addon do you use to track Living Bomb? Your uptimes indicate that you do really try, so you might want to look into a different way of tracking them.

 

I analysed your combustions during pulls, they are absolutely fine.

 

My advise would be to track your buffs/debuffs a bit better, focusing on LB uptime, and simply getting more crit. Do not bother snapshotting LB, just focus on its uptime.

 

I also wouldn't worry that much; you are 558 ilvl as fire without a lot of crit, and nobody in your guild is pulling high dps. I'd highly advise getting the rest of your raid members on here as well, especially the warlock.

Is KTT worth upgrading vs saving my valor for a BBoY? I can't seem to find any actual values for the trinkets this their, so that was my original plan.

I am raid leader in a 25 man HC guild, I've been killing bosses that drop trinkets for years. I still have a flex KTT. Definitely upgrade it.
