Thanks to the hundreds of thousands of players around the world who voted in polls over the last two weeks, we now know which of the proposed mounts you most want to ride in 2021. The winner is:

• The Wandering Ancient

  • A large and leafy mount, the Wandering Ancient invites you to climb aboard and grab ahold of its branches as you embark on a lumbering expedition.

Our designers will now work on bringing this mount to life, so that all players who purchase Shadowlands will receive it.

The polls are closed and the Wandering Ancient has won, as expected, in both the US, EU and China regions! The rest of the pack are also at the same % levels as previously posted in this thread, with another 5,000 players having voted since we checked earlier today. We're definitely getting a big walking tree as the mount, but hopefully we'll also get some of the others through some other means as well!

We also have the poll results for China, where the Ancient got to 42%:

Over 250,000 people have voted in the US and EU alone, with the world-wide total being much higher. And, as we've mentioned before, 2nd and 3rd places will probably also matter, as Blizzard will almost certainly make more than just the winner.

 

 

 

It's great to see that many people voting, especially in the last day, as it shows how passionate the WoW community can be. You can also see that in the fan art, which you can check out here, and even some potential similar in-game models here.

My question is: what is the criteria to get the mount? Simply have purchased Shadowlands? Or do we need an active sub too? I've been waiting for the pre-patch to resub, but I've had Shadowlands pre-purchased since it became available.

Awesome! They could do really cool stuff with this, similar to the Blossoming Ancient pet, it could change colors throughout the seasons, the mount could be a vendor selling fruit that is equivalent to the Mage food, or maybe it will root itself if you AFK on it. I hope they intent to do something special.

The root could look like the process the ancients had in Warcraft 3. ?

many cool Ideas Baha but I doubt anything of those will be on it - would be toooo special - despite of that nice ideas but sadly most of those fan concepts looked much more wow to me.
