needless 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2014 I've just dinged my mage only a month ago. So I am kinda a newbie. I've been following Akraen's guide, reading it over and over again. I just want to know how am I doing? What should I do? What should I not do? etc. Any help will be appriciated Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/tarren-mill/Paraviel/advanced Malkorok 10M Normal: http://worldoflogs.com/reports/dpmfy04g39f5n3u8/details/3/?s=1149&e=1293 Protectors 10M Heroic: http://worldoflogs.com/reports/rvw4yd5okk83slje/details/202/?s=3846&e=4340
Kver 65 Report post Posted March 22, 2014 Yo. I looked at your logs, it seems to me that your Living Bomb uptime on Malkorok is a bit low; it should definitely go up to 97% on that boss. Most of your uptimes and CD usages seem fine, do you snapshot at all? A big part of Nether Tempest's AoE strength is by snapshotting big procs as well. I compared your logs to mine and they seem identical, except my hits just deal a lot more damage each. This can partially be explained by your relatively low ilvl, but it might also be due to a lack of snapshotting.
needless 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2014 Thank you Kver for the helpful comments. I didn't have legendary meta gem and cloak at that time and my ilvl was 556. That could be the problem. About the snapshotting I do it with LB. But multi dot fights like protectors honostly I don't follow it that much. Because most of the fight I refresh my dots on the bosses and adds. My thought was that If I snapshotted, there would'nt any time for another spell to cast :D. But if you don't mind could you post one or two relevant logs of yours so that I can compare? Kver 65 Report post Posted March 23, 2014 I would definitely snapshot Nether Tempest. On multidotting fights snapshotting only becomes stronger. http://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/W4KHA1N8rPmbXyzf#fight=2&type=damage-done This is an older one of mine, and a pretty long fight too.
