Agenteusa 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2014 Hello, I got a Warrior to 90 on the WOD preorder. It was already at 60 so nice on the profs as well :) (And I have those cause those were the ones I was missing on the server). Now I played a Warrior in the past but it was really in the PAST if you know what I mean so I'm wondering what my dps is at and if you guys can help me with some tips. This is my char: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/arathor/Stopagrotime/advanced Now, I'm not asking you to analyze my rotation since I don't have logs for it , all I want is to know if I'm doing ok (I think I'm a bit on the low side) with the current gear I have. I know some stuff isnt gemmed/enchanted since some are really expensive and I don't want to spend Money on things I'm replacing very soon. I'm currently doing 80-100k ST on most fights but I know I'm a bit noobish on the rotation since my background is Pala/DK Dps which is a faster rotation so I'm not used to a slower rotation. I've read several guides that point to basically, rage saving while off CS and rage spamming while in CS, along with the mandatory RB's. I also have to put up some Weakauras for enrage, CS, Debuffs cause that might be causing some dps loss as I'm not tracking them in a proper manner right now. So my question really is if the dps I'm doing currently with my gear is acceptable and if you have any tips for a newb dps warr? Thanks for the help
ragebarr 153 Report post Posted March 24, 2014 Trying to play Fury at that low of an ilvl/crit chance is asking for trouble. If you don't hate Arms, you could probably do better until you get better gear, at which point Fury starts getting better. Anyway, 100k doesn't seem too horrible for your item level, but if you're not willing to get the best enchants, you should at least try to get the cheaper ones (Windsong for your weapons, +170 Mastery for your wrists, etc.). My suggestion would really be, right now, to switch to Arms until you get better gear, as Arms has an easier rotation and better DPS until you can reach ~30% crit. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask, -rage

I second this. Just starting out on a boosted 90 you will most definitely want to play Arms and not Fury as Fury is, literally, that Crit dependant. Agenteusa 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2014 Yeah, I see what you both saying. I do have some issues with Arms though , that's why I'm not really willing to go Arms. The main issue is that I severely hate the rotation, it's really boring, but that might be my opinion :P Anyway, thanks for the input. I'll have to get that 2nd 2 hander and will prob get some lesser enchants (I can get Dancing Steel on one of them already) and see if it gets better. I'm guessing it will become a bit better once I get 2 decent weapons. Another question if I may: Aside from enrage and CS is there anything I should heavily track with WeakAuras? Thanks again. Sajakain 104 Report post Posted March 25, 2014 Aside from enrage and CS is there anything I should heavily track with WeakAuras? I personally track Raging Blow.... not with WeakAuras, mind you, but I do track it along with the other two you previously mentioned.
Sajakain 104 Report post Posted March 25, 2014 The main issue is that I severely hate the rotation, it's really boring, but that might be my opinion Boring as it may be, it's more dependable and offers more consistent DPS at your ilevel to where as Fury will be really sporadic and, frankly, unpredictable due to the low crit chance. But, as I said in my own Arms Guide, it's your choice as to what spec you play. :)
