The Method esports organization has just announced that they will be returning after their recent disbanding of the guild and almost all streamers and sponsors leaving amidst allegations of sexual misconduct and more. The announcement of the "Method Rebuild" focuses on the way the org will improve and the changes already made, including Sascha Steffens, co-CEO, stepping down from day-to-day operations and taking the role of a "non-executive director", a recruitment drive for the guild itself, and many HR and procedural changes to prevent other incidents like those that happened before. Steffens also responded to the situation in a personal post you can read here.

The Method site has also been revamped, with many articles going through all the changes, from the current staff present, Method's core values, the community team and the guild itself. The announcement Twitch stream also took live questions from the chat and Discord and talked about a new system of taking in community feedback and concerns, going in-depth on the changes made to improve the org and more.

Method was allways a heavy inspirational and motivating organization to me, where i learned alot from their streamers, Youtubers, fun chats and also the hard times. I was not that much interested in World First stuff they did, but the professional way alot of them played their class to the absolut top and ofc especially mythic+.

While i am a dreamer very often, i am also totally realistic about that i would never have a chance to get into their pro raid teams, probably Mythic+ team later, but that takes alot more time and effort from my side. Anyway did i learn alot from them and got better because of that.

I wish them a good "new" start and a shining journey to new horizons, but also that they learned from their mistakes in the past. ?

It's not going to be easy for them to rebuild, with most of their members already gone. It was apparent that at least some of their members were aware of harassment happening, yet they've done nothing. It's hard to wish them luck, so I'm not going to do it. They should stay "dead" and don't return, instead of promising to be "clean" this time, a few years too late (and apparently they aren't completely breaking off with their former co-CEO, when at least some accusations against him have been proven true).

Method is not Josh only. It's a Symbol... so screw this, its done and its history. 
Focus on the future and the goal they want to achieve.

It seems pretty disingenuous to say that you're moving in a new direction when you keep Steffens involved in any capacity.  He was the other Method member involved in the sexual harassment, and as the former co-CEO he can't feign ignorance here.  I'm all for second chances, but if you're involved with sexual harassment, especially with minors...then no, I hope you fail spectacularly.

Everyone was involved in the josh situation, hiding from public that their main healer was a pedophile and a rapist, why ? To keep their roster for the progress, it's nice to try moving away from this *filtered* but they should have done this when it happened, when josh rape that poor girl and they knew about it, that's around when 8.2 came out, I let you figure out how long it took them to realize raping and pedo were bad and "oh we hire pro to keep a nice conduct and look at this ! We have a code of conduct !" Method is rotten, they all live from wow and will try everything to keep "their job".

 

And to answer your question, if I were in that organization when Josh situation happened, I would have not keep it quiet and pretend it never happen.

They claim they've changed but Sascha is still there and even though they say he's not apart of their "day-to-day operations" I don't believe that for a second. I absolutely believe he's still there helping in decisions even in his new "non-executive director" role.

Since you opened this box:

Alot of german people have nothing to do with the WW II stuff happened, but still getting hated for the actions of the history. Sure its a huge difference between this 2 stories, but i guess you understand what i mean with that. It is important to remember people, but also to give chances and in the end actions matter, as i wrote before. It is actually nothing wrong about that some people would not wish Method best luck or to succeed anymore, to stay hidden / "dead" or whatever. It is personal point of view and can be respected without being hateful about that. Everyone has his own experiences in life, let people decide who they trust and who not. There were other companies in my life, where i actually said similar stuff as "i would never wish them best luck to recover, just for their actions and / or blind management", because i was frustrated. ( warning - does not mean someone here is frustrated !!! )

1. Who the *filtered* even thinks about WWII this days...It's the  most educational systems faults for presenting the events from WWII in the matter , that the association with Germany becomes WWII. Not for me though. For example there are people like me , who aren't German and yet love the language and the country, just because of other things that matter. And last but not least - when i think of german people , i think of punctionallity...
2. I don't hate the "other" people , i have far stronger feelings for those , which were built with time and a lot of examples of the behaviours i described above in my prev. post.  It's not a question about his/her own meaning about the topic, its just people need to grow up and understand the situation a little bit better, and from all point of views , before thinking , "oh, sharing is caring... let's write a comment and say those people , since they know Josh , they must stay "dead" .. Scho made a mistake and understood it, Sascha is w/e. If he stays or doesn't , it doesn't matter. There are at least another 20+ people which are not mentioned , which have nothing to do with the story, but are a part of Method and want to continue doing what they love...thats what matters and noone from you - "other" people - think about them. Answer yourselves why

One thing I see here , you try to play in the middle.  You have 2 options - differentiate yourself from the Pedo story and support Method or continue to connect Method with the story.
