I have 3 trinkets, which 2 do I use?

Hello Icy-Veins.

 

So I've just gotten my hands on a new trinket, yet I can't decide which ones I benefit from the most. (armory if you so desire, not that it matters)

 

These are the three trinkets I currently have in my possession:

 

Purified Bindings of Immerseus (Normal version)

 

Kardris' Toxic Totem (Normal warforged version)

 

Frenzied Crystal of Rage (Heroic version)

 

I'm thinking that the 8% increase to critical strike damage, haste and mastery from Purified Bindings of Immerseus is too good to leave behind, and to use Kardris' Toxic Totem on encounters with no/few adds, and

Frenzied Crystal of Rage on AoE heavy encounters.

 

 

Any other mages have any input on this? Should I be more focused on the intellect proc differences? Any input is appreciated.

Absolutely correct. Always use PBoI, no matter which version it is. Frenzied Crystal really is only useful on sustained AoE, I don't think you'll use this at all in Siege of Orgrimmar, so you'll always go with PBoI and Kardris' Toxic Totem.

the only fight where i use frenzied crystal is spoils. Cant find it usefull anywhere else. Might be usefull on galakras if u struggle with adds and thats it basicly

Thing about using it on Gala/Spoils is that you do lose a lot of single target dps where it matters i.e. on the massive adds of each room on spoils and on Galakras itself.

Crystal is terrible, even on cleave fights. Not only does it not hit your main target, it even does LESS AoE damage than KTT! I have no clue what the point of the trinket is, the only time it's worth using is if you have hc wf of it and your highest ilvl other trinket is LFR.

He's frost, so this isn't true.

 

Frost makes decent use of FCoR, just see my flow chart for the rules. It's technically BiS (after PBoI) on Immerseus (depending on raid strat), Galakras (if you're on the ground and use NT), and Spoils.
