Other druids can also gather while flying nowadays, it isn't exclusive to Tauren anymore. That's how I knew it as well but found out that my night elf can also do it. You are replying to a really old guide! 😛 nowadays in retail ppl can gather while flying in the Sky Golem mount even, but yea all Druids can gather while flying, Tauren just do it better / faster because of having a racial bonus on top! Perception values changes in Herbalism window when I equip or unequip profession items. Also changes when I use Phial of Truesight. But no changes when i use Ghoulfish Delight.
