Yeah I quit even caring about posting a high score so I quit reforging out of Haste as well - having more fun as Demonology.  Having even more fun finding out Supremacy is just as good as Service since my Wrathguard looks super fabulous.

Go get the 3% crit buff from midsummer bonfire for starters.

 

Otherwise, what do you want to know? 

 

Ideal situation (in a raid) is Dark Soul + PBI + 10 stack BBoY + 4pc + Jade Spirit + Tailoring/Engi + Tricks + Skull Banner + Potion of Jade Serpent + Burning Primal Diamond + Troll on Thok + Midsummer buff.

 

(Correct me if I've missed anything and I'll add it in).

 

With Mastery > Crit > > > > > Haste. You would actually want Int + Mastery gems if it mean the alternative only gained you haste, I would imagine.

 

Stack as many of those for the biggest chaos bolt.

 

I don't know what you mean "with high haste" though. You don't do anything different than with low haste.

Haste = increases the speed in which you cast a spell, slightly lower the GCD, and increases how fast your dots tick within a given set of time.

 

Haste does nothing to increase the damage of any of your spells

 

Both Mastery and Crit increase the damage of your spells.

 

TLDR: More haste will NOT cause your Chaos Bolt to do more damage. It will cause it to do less damage because you are removing Mastery or Crit from your build.

They are either better geared or just snapshotting Chaos Bolt better than you.

 

As I tried to outline for you, there are tons of variables which go into snapshotting the perfect chaos bolt.

 

Stop fretting over your haste rating and stats in general.
