wow Girl Learns to Play WoW to Surprise Boyfriend

Here's the story of a girl who wanted to learn WoW to surprise her boyfriend, and here's how it went.

16 days ago, a girl wrote on Reddit that she wants to learn to play the game to surprise her boyfriend since he loves WoW and always wished she was a gamer to play the game together.

She asked the community for YouTube videos, posts, and websites, that explain WoW to a total noob from the beginning.

A week later, she posted an update on how it all went. Her boyfriend was at work when she used his PC to create a new Pandaren Hunter character. She got the hang of the controls and the game's main goal, which was her goal all the time along.

The boyfriend came home, and she told him to log on to WoW because she wanted to show him something. His reaction was really positive, and she has never seen him so excited. She told him she had practiced somewhat but needed his guidance to teach her the rest.

What's really cool is she genuinely enjoyed the game and has been playing a lot ever since. Her boyfriend helps her and explains whenever there's something she does not understand.

Long story short, the boyfriend appreciated the effort she made to learn to play the game and taught her a lot. She is currently at level 34 and enjoying the game at her own pace.

The only thing that remains now is that both get their own PC!

This happened to me. Back when WoW launched in EU (february 2005). She reluctantly tried WoW with the free 10 days pass that came with my Collectors Edition.

Some months later we were downing Nepharian 1st on server (Earthen Ring - EU PVE RP, june of 2005) together. I played a resto druid, she played a holy pally.

We still play to this day, same chars, in Shadowlands.

Needless to say, she is now my wife.

Yeah tell me about it, the only women i seem to meet are just about shopping and their own reflection, maybe its where i meet them? Anyway, My advice to the boyfriend.......DO NOT LET HER GO!

And this one of many reasons why so many women who play video games don't go into voice chat or let people know their gender.

OMG  A GIRL PLAYING WOW?????

It's not 2005 anymore people.   A woman playing WoW or any other video game really isn't that big a deal.

That is not what we are talking about, I have known women play video games and i have likely grouped with them without knowing it, since the only ones that announce it tend to want to benefit from it since it tends to give them special perks, others just want to play the game.

I personally meant that, the women i tend to meet just care about shopping, their own reflection and tend to care more about what they want to do, than what the men they are with want to do.

I just think if i met a woman that was willing to play a video game to spend more time with me would be quite sweet and romantic in my opinion.

I have met quite a few of female gamers in WoW, Swtor and other MMOs in the past the most fun ones to group with, are the ones that do not want special treatment, they just want to play the game, which is fine by me, but the women that expect to be treated different cause they are women, i avoid them whenever i can.
