Illidan Stormrage challenge impossible in new season

I've been trying to finish up the Ashes of Outland challenges and the season switched over. The final boss fight vs Illidan is pretty much impossible. With the new season they've removed almost all the cards that would have made this fight winnable. I've been bashing my head against it for several days now with no luck. I've tried several different decks and never get close to beating him. Any help would be very appreciated.

Was trying it a bit more today and finally managed to do it with Libram paladin. You have to get very lucky though

I was having trouble as well.  I ended up getting it with Control Priest w/ a C'Thun finish.  Hope this helps.

Nice, got it with a modified Control Priest deck as I didn’t have Xyrella, C’Thun, or Yogg. Added a Psychic Conjurer, Reliquary of Souls, and Burning Blade Acolyte in their place... worked amazing!
