Is anyone able to confirm that doing the prepull t14 gearswap with helm makes it so that LMG can't proc for a window like it does for trinkets? Have not been able to get full procs with the gearswap yet and it's getting statistically unlikely for there not to be some sort of issue.

Is Drainsouler alot better than just using quartz with the tick marks on?

 

That's what I've been using, but maybe I should try this out.

I didn't like drain souler because I'm so used to gnosis. It just cluttered my screen. Good addon though.

I played Affliction for a bunch of fights yesterday doing the gearswap and meta gem was proccing fine. My luck with PBI however, was not so favourable. Though that has nothing to do with it!

I going back to Affliction whis week, some fights are amazing and some just sucks - like Garrosh H and Galakras.

 

Soloing Eng with Affliction it's pretty damn boring, screw up all my dps and burst.

 

At least I finally manage to reach 1.1kk dps on Protectors, need more training to get to 1.3kk

Hey all, been thinking about switching to Affliction for farm fights while my guild progresses on Siegecrafter for a change of pace and was wondering if it's worth it to switch out my H KTT for a normal BBOY as Aff for the extra haste and the stronger dots on the last couple of ticks of BBOY.

Highlighted your quote for emphasis.  It doesn't matter what you do.  The variance will be relatively minor and will be dependent on RNG.  Over numerous trials, BBoY comes out slightly ahead, but you have a substantial item level difference, so the difference might not exist.

I would think flex BBoY is better but I wouldn't be happy to play with either. Unfortunately with a gear dependent spec like aff you're pretty dependent on a set of decent trinkets.

You say you're at 14.6k haste like it's a bad thing, Affliction loves Haste. It also loves Mastery.

BBoY gives both, on top of a hefty intellect proc.

BBoY's snapshot > KTT's snapshot, but you are dropping two tiers of gear (Heroic -> Flex).  Affliction doesn't benefit from Multistrike with your pet, so that hurts, too.  If you are excellent with snapshotting, BBoY should boost your opener significantly and keep your sustained a bit higher.

I was just wondering if Observer still is the desired pet? A friend of mine says he experienced that his Fel Imp did more damage on every fight he tried it.

Fel Imp is more practical in almost every encounter because it doesn't lose any DPS from target switching, and is ranged.

 

Observer might sim higher (slightly), but just stick to the Fel Imp on every fight.

It's neither. It goes from just chain casting fireballs to firing 3 fireballs then doing nothing for a while.

Basic question about affli: This is the second affliction WL this week I´ve seen, who has something over 14k haste AND the UA glyph. Is there a reason for this? Just asking this because, while I´m not a recruitement official in my guild, I´m generally asked to look through any lock applications and I´m not really confident in my ability to armory check affliction locks. Didn´t play affliction for maybe a year and not planning on changing it.

That was my assumption as well. I only thought there is maybe some trick to make it worth.
