We have a bunch of information on the launch of New World, including which servers will be available for which regions, their recommended languages, bonus offers for Amazon Prime members (like the pirate skin and emote, as well as some premium in-game currency), Twitch drop items for checking out one of the featured streamers and more!

Launch Details (Source)

Greetings, Adventurers!

Next week on September 28, New World will be launching. The past few years of Alpha testing, preview events, and our recent Beta tests have been critical in helping us prepare for launch, and we couldn’t have done it without your participation, feedback, and enthusiasm. We wanted to put together a primer so you, your friends, and communities can fully prepare for launch and ensure you’re not missing out on any of the exclusive content available. We’ve also included our server names, locations, and recommended languages so you’re ready to hop in the same world as your friends when the gates to Aeternum open next week.

Launch Servers

New World's launch is a unique moment when Aeternum is an unclaimed land of opportunity, and the ability for you and your Company to organize, progress, and claim your territory is an exciting event as you establish a foothold to defend and develop. We want that initial land rush to feel fair for all our players around the world. We paid close attention during Closed and Open Beta to your feedback on when servers went live. When planning our server launch times, we took fairness and your feedback in mind and have designed a server roll out we hope will support the majority of our players. We took local times into consideration and will launch in the following order:

  • 8AM CEST EU Servers will launch (9/27 at 11pm PT)

  • 8AM BRT South American Servers will launch (9/28 4am PT)

  • 9PM AEST Australian Servers will launch (9/28 4am PT*)

  • 8AM ET NA East Coast Server will launch (9/28 at 5am PT)

  • 8AM PT NA West Coast Servers will launch

*To provide the best possible experience at launch, we’ve decided to open our Australian server at a time that aligns with the larger global roll-out. Following the 8AM pattern for Australia would have resulted in it being a different "day" than other regions due to the time difference, and we wanted the region to be able to share in the launch community elsewhere in the world, like streams and website posts.

To help clarify the information above please check out this handy map of global launch times:

NW_LaunchTimes_Map_v6_Big_AM-PM_740x416.

For those interested, the full list of launch servers can be found below the Twitch and Prime Gaming content sections.

Twitch Drops: Vinespun Weapon Skins

All 66 awesome content creators who participated in the Battle for New World have been granted access to a Twitch Drop exclusive to their channels for the first two weeks after New World launches, alongside some free copies of the game to give away to their communities. Be sure to tune into their channels at launch to receive the Vinespun weapon skin set. You can find a full list of participants who will have access to the Vinespun weapon skin, and links to their Twitch channels, on the Battle for New World Leaderboard page.

Prime Gaming Content

With Prime Gaming, Amazon Prime members enjoy tons of free, exclusive content for their favorite PC, console, and mobile games. Plus, they can claim a collection of PC games for free every month that are theirs to keep forever, and a monthly Twitch channel subscription. Prime Gaming’s selection of in-game content and free PC games is always growing and rotating to stay fresh, with new items and free games added every month.

New World will have a variety of free, exclusive items available through Prime Gaming, and we’ll be kicking things off with with the Pirate Packs. The first pack will be available starting on New World’s September 28 launch, and can be claimed until November 1. This pack includes an exclusive pirate character skin and pirate-stance emote, alongside 5,000 Marks of Fortune— a premium currency used to buy cosmetic items from the in-game store.

The second Pirate Pack will be available beginning October 12 and can be claimed by Prime Gaming members until November 1. It will include more exclusive pirate-themed goodies, with a pirate sword skin, a finger-across-the-throat emote, and a pack of 3 crests.

Players who are not currently Amazon Prime members that are interested in accessing the exclusive New World drops can sign-up for a free, 30-day trial on the Prime Gaming website.

Launch Servers

The servers listed below are the initial recommended language servers we created for New World’s launch. Each server holds thousands of players simultaneously. We also have additional servers held in reserve, and we’ll add the reserve servers and adjust newly created servers based on the demand in our supported regions. We started with the data centers based on player interest and our ability to service them well. While AWS operates all over the world, we have to make sure we can operate well in an area before launching there. With that in mind, we will be looking into other server locations post-launch.

Aeternum is a place of legend, so our servers use the names of legendary realms from mythology, such as the homes of various gods, the Underworld, or mythical cities and magical lands from various cultures. For the servers listed below, the ones with recommended languages are exactly that, for the mutual enjoyment of those interested in adventuring and using that language together. The recommended language shouldn’t be interpreted as a restriction or requirement, and many are left to be a free-for-all.

Ah, it's the default icon for the "blue post" container thing, you're right. Didn't even think of it it was like automatic "this is a blue post so we use blue post formatting" 😄 Fixed!

New World Aeternum update 1.3.0.5 is now live, bringing back a seasonal favorite, improvements to the new OPR map, and a variety of gameplay fixes.
New World Aeternum's latest update (1.3.05) is now live, and it introduces a handful of additions to the game, including the return of the Rabbit's Revenge event, another preview of the new Outpost Rush map (Coral Divide), and a handful of notable fixes. Additional information for each of these can be found below.
      Rabbit's Revenge 2025
Something wicked this way hops. Starting April 15 - May 13, Corrupted Rabbits return to Aeternum — twisted, feral, and hungry for chaos. Hunt them across the wilds to earn exclusive loot, including the new Corrupted Rabbit’s Armor set (legs, gloves, boots) and complete your look with the all-new Corruption’s Rabbit Helm in the store.
Click here to see a full guide to the event.
Outpost Rush: Coral Divide Preview 2
The team has taken the initial OPR feedback and suggestions from the first preview weekend of the Coral Divide OPR map and have made key changes and fixes to help with the playability of the map. Join the team again for a second preview from April 15th - April 22nd.
Changes made for this preview include:
Cleaned up the environment collision to aid in navigating the map. Removed vegetation to help with visibility and performance. Adjusted fort entrances so they are equally distant from Sol outpost, allowing both teams to arrive at the same time. Adjusted lighting to reduce saturation and improve visibility throughout the map. Reduced the cost of buildable bridges to 40 stone/40 wood and made them buildable from both sides. Removed the barriers leading to Baroness. Adjusted the subterranean areas of the map to improve visibility. Fixed an issue that allowed player to mantle wall of Star Outpost in the original Outpost Rush. Fixed an issue where players were able to platform into Sol & Astra outposts, bypassing the gates. Fixed an issue that caused Outpost Luna icons in Trench to not appear when zoomed in. Fixed issues where the terrain was raised above the ground in multiple areas.
      Notable Fixes
The notable fixes made in this update include the following:
The team is currently looking into the cause of VFX culling across Aeternum and have implemented changes that will resolve some of these VFX culling issues, but not all of them. This is a high priority for our team, so we will continue to dive into this to provide a full fix. Fixed an issue with body blocking in raids on PvP servers when players are differing factions Fixed an issue causing Typhon to sometimes remain in phase two when phase three is initiated. Fixed an issue that allowed players to activate Hatchet's Berserk ability without playing its animation. Fixed the Season Pass 'Hail to the King Seasonal World Bonus Challenge' Task not mentioning you need a melee weapon equipped for the challenge to be completed. We look forward to seeing you in Aeternum!

After obtaining the new rewards from the Rabbit's Revenge event, players discover that they can unlock a new "Pet Rabbit" emote by defeating a certain enemy with a specific weapon.
This year's Rabbit's Revenge event in New World Aeternum has brought a handful of new, limited-time rewards to the New World community, but one of these rewards provide a hint for players to unlock a hidden emote. To be more specific, players can unlock the "Corruption's Peak" Flail weapon as a reward by defeating corrupted rabbits throughout Aeternum. They can get lucky and get this item after killing even just one rabbit (1% drop chance), but if luck is not on their side, they will get it as a guaranteed drop after defeating 300 rabbits.
The Corruption's Peak Flail has a unique perk known as Rabbits Revenge, which has the description of, "Not even Stanley can withstand the corruptive power of this weapon". This description was a clear hint for players to visit Rabbit Island, which is the home of a unique named rabbit mob named Stanley.

Players quickly realized that if they defeat Stanley, that they get a unique item - the Pet Rabbit Emote Reward! Once opened, it unlocks the hidden "Pet Rabbit" emote, allowing players to pull a rabbit out of their pocket, and pet it regardless of where they are.
If you're a fan of New World: Aeternum, or a completionist, be sure to grab this weapon, hunt Stanley, and claim your hidden emote!
For a step-by-step guide on how to unlock this emote, watch the video below.

Take a closer look at what changes are coming to the Coral Divide OPR map after a weekend of testing.
One of the biggest topics of conversation in the lands of Aeternum lately has been all around the new Outpost Rush (OPR) map, the Coral Divide. New World: Aeternum players were given an opportunity to test out this upcoming map during a specific weekend in order to provide their feedback to ensure that it's ready for the official launch - but what type of feedback did the team end up receiving?
Luckily for us, the team shared a detailed explanation of what's changing with the map many of us have already tested, as well as an additional chance to test out this map (with the new changes) from April 15 to April 21.
Learn more about what's changing below:
      General Improvements
Map Size Adjustment – Reducing unnecessary open space to keep engagements dynamic and fast-paced. Terrain Optimization – Smoothing out rough terrain and obstacles that disrupt movement and combat. Improved Visibility – Adjustments to lighting, foliage, and environmental clutter to enhance clarity. Objective and Balance Changes
Resource Node Placement Tweaks – Relocating and balancing resource nodes to ensure fair access for both teams. Fortifications Adjustments – Modifying outpost defenses to prevent excessive turtling or overpowered positions. Updated Spawn Locations – Refining respawn points to reduce spawn camping and unfair positioning. Revised Capture Mechanics – Improving interaction points for smoother and more intuitive captures. Combat & Engagement Enhancements
Adjusted Line of Sight – Reducing frustrating sniper spots while maintaining strategic positioning. Better Combat Flow – Enhancing chokepoints and engagement areas for more balanced fights. More Cover Options – Adding or repositioning cover elements to prevent open-field vulnerability. Quality of Life Updates
Minimap Enhancements – Updating icons and labels for better clarity on objectives and player locations. Bug Fixes & Performance Optimizations – Addressing player-reported issues affecting gameplay stability and fairness. To participate, open the Activity Finder and queue for Outpost Rush during the event window (April 15 - April 21). Be sure to also join the discussion in the official Discord to share your feedback on the new updates to the map.
