New World Item Database, World Map and Player-Made Live Tracker

Recommended Posts

Here are some useful New World tools you may already be aware of, but we thought we'd mention in case you weren't, as they can be extremely useful.

First off we have the New World Database, where you can find pretty much any item from the game (and which we ourselves use in the guides) - which is useful in general but might be especially good to check out if you want to farm some legendaries that drop off specific mobs in the game!

Then there's the New World interactive map, which has a lot of information on the zones from resource gathering nodes, cities, corrupted areas, animal spawns and a whole lot more - and is a lot more useful and impressive once you realize New Wold doesn't have a minimap!

And finally, related to the above map, mouseplaycen has managed to set up his game to show them exactly where he is on the map website, so he can more easily see all the spawns and other information from it (and basically have a full "mini"map on the second monitor)! Unfortunately they haven't shared the code (yet), but might in the near future, as they did offer to share it if there's enough interest!

Game ruined, sites like wowhead are meta cesspools which ruin the immersion

True, but it only ruins the immersion for the person using it. So why are you here if you don't want your immersion ruined?

It ruins it for everyone, that question is irrelevant. People botting and farming popular spots more often makes the game less enjoyable

In-Exploration: Ideas from the developers that are being part of discussions. These are features that have been heard from characters, and not yet decided on whether or not they will be implemented to the game. The full living roadmap (as it stands today) can be viewed below.

The major changes that players will begin experiencing in season 7 are captured below with additional details:
Seasonal World 1: PvP Focus: New World: Aeternum will be introducing dynamic, limited-time servers designed to deliver unique gameplay experiences. The first season world (coming in Season 7) will be "PvP Focus", where every player playing will be flagged for PvP at all times. By defeating other players, you will be able to obtain special loot, including unique items and valuables. New Outpost rush (OPR) Map Preview: A new OPR map is finally coming! Mutated Expedition Updates: All mutations will receive a buff in overall loot, enticing players to experience mutated expeditions for more sought-after loot and valuables. Daily Solo Trials: Three new soul trials will be added to the game, including "A Mother's Dream", featuring Empress Zhou, "Tempest's Mind", starring Isabella, and "Saichi Soto", offering all-new encounters that push players to their limits. New Artifacts and Perks: Season 7 introduces eight new artifacts to enhance gameplay and strategy (7 weapons, 1 earring). The long-awaited black dye and hippos are introduced into New World: Aeternum. Learn more about what they look like, and how you can get them!
New World: Aeternum surprised the community today with some brand-new, long-awaited items being added into its in-game store. The first (and probably most requested) addition to the store is Black Dye. Players will now be able to dye their weapons, armors, mount skins, and more with this all-new black dye, which is already being seen throughout Aeternum.
The new "Wraith Black" dye pack can be purchased in the in-game store for 3,000 marks of fortune.

Additionally, hippos are finally in New World: Aeternum! With the official launch of New World, players shared memes and posts around why there were not hippos within the game. One user even published daily posts in their forum, calling out "Day X of no hippos in New World", with the posts reaching several hundred days long.
The developers must have been listening, as they added a new bear mount skin to the game, labeled as "Hippo Burley", allowing players to transform their bear mounts into hippos (pictured below).
The new "Hippo Burley" bear mount skin can be purchased for 20,000 marks of fortune in the in-game store.

Decorate your New World: Aeternum home with spooky decor for a chance to win prizes!
New World: Aeternum is officially hosting a "Spooky Decor" competition, inviting players to decorate their in-game homes to be as spooky as ever. They shared that there will be a total of 5 winners that will be crowned the spookiest home-owners across Aeternum, with each of the winners receiving a code to unlock a limited-edition "Trials of Aeternum" weapon skin (example of the "ToA" fire staff skin pictured below).

The competition is now live up until October 29, 2024 at 11:59 PM PT. In order to participate, you must take screenshots of your spooky home and reply to the official New World: Aeternum tweet below with the images, along with your in-game name, region, and world.
Placeholder for tweet 184876215127784682 For all fresh start players, it is recommended to invest in a top-tier home to give you more space to add spooky furniture, which requires you to be at least level 30 territory standing within the territory you want your home in. Learn more about how you can accomplish this quickly with our territory standing guide.
Best of luck to all those participating!
