The second New World patch has arrived, and while it doesn't bring the announced server transfer feature with it, it does lay the groundwork for it, as well as fix the faction influence issues and a whole lot of bugs as well.

New World Update: 1.0.2 will release at 3AM PT (10AM UTC) on October 13.

Greetings Adventurers!

This week’s update brings in another swathe of bug fixes, alongside laying additional groundwork for the upcoming server transfer feature. Many members of our team are still working tirelessly on ensuring everyone can find a world to call their long-term home with the character transfer feature. We’ll have more information on server transfers when they’re ready, and you can check out our forums announcement for initial details. In the meantime, you can find the list of bug fixes we’ve addressed below.

Faction Missions:

We adjusted the rates of influence gain over time so that it will continue to require significant effort over time to flip a territory into conflict state:

  • Reduced the amount of influence increase over time significantly for attacking factions. This is to account for a bug we found where the increase was multiplied much faster than intended over time.

  • Removed the decrease in influence over time for defending factions.

Bug Fixes:

General Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where players could respawn as a corpse.

  • Fixed an issue where the tier 3 fishing treasure chest wouldn’t fight back after being hooked.

  • Fixed various localization issues and text fields.

  • Fixed an issue causing players kicked, suspended, banned, or removed from the game by Easy Anti-Cheat to receive unclear communication. Additional messaging has been added so players can better understand the penalty they received.

  • Fixed an issue causing territory influence to be reset after an Invasion.

  • Fixed an issue where players attempting to take a split amount of stacked items from a different settlement their faction owns, they were charged for the entire cost of the items in the stack.

  • Fixed a game crash caused by a player targeting another player with a healing effect at the exact moment they fast traveled or teleported away.

  • Fixed an issue reducing variety and potential quantity of loot obtained from game modes and chests within the world.

  • Fixed an issue causing some crafting bonuses to not provide the minimum intended values.

  • Fixed an issue where overflow items in storage transferred to a different territory.

  • Fixed an issue where petting Barkimedes caused the camera to jitter.

  • Fixed an issue causing the Ice Pylon ability to not cooldown appropriately.

  • Fixed an issue where settlement storage can become massively overflowed by expired contracts.

  • Fixed an issue where player’s movement could stutter after becoming encumbered from logging.

  • Fixed an issue where there were not enough chests at Hapless Homestead to fulfill Faction quest requirements.

  • Fixed an issue causing players to randomly teleport.

  • Fixed an issue where players disappear if standing still when a campsite turret blueprint is being held.

  • Fixed a visual issue causing repeater turrets to appear as if they were firing projectiles at an angle that did not align with the turret.

  • Fixed miscellaneous game crashes.

AI Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where Marshjaw respawned slower than intended at Flatfish Fishery.

  • Fixed an issue causing certain bears to respawn faster than intended.

  • Fixed an issue causing twice the intended number of Boars to spawn at the Boarsholm POI in Restless Shores.

Store Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where players could be prompted to purchase an item they had previously started the unlocking process on in the in-game store when trying to unlock another item immediately after.

  • Fixed an issue causing store previews for skins to not work correctly when the player was actively wielding a weapon.

  • Fixed an issue where the Righteous Guardian armor skin would not change color in War.

  • Fixed an issue where the

Runic Bear armor skin would not change color in War.

  • Fixed an issue causing incorrect poses when previewing store items.

Thank you for your support! We’ll see you in Aeternum.

There is quite an outrage due this update in the EU. The maintenance planned for the very same time as un the US, but for us it meant downtime between  12:00 - 17:00. On top of it, the server(outside of about 25) still not up, right now its 21:00.

Last update was about an hour ago like " Please hang tight" 😢

So Blizzard is doing Patches for New World. Nice.

Unbelievable, I did it again! Seriously there might be some brain damage involved here, this is like the third time I did that, just auto "blue post"... Ok, if I do it again it's off to the doctor 😄

But yea thanks for the heads up, fixed!

New World Aeternum's latest update (1.3.05) is now live, and it introduces a handful of additions to the game, including the return of the Rabbit's Revenge event, another preview of the new Outpost Rush map (Coral Divide), and a handful of notable fixes. Additional information for each of these can be found below.
      Rabbit's Revenge 2025
Something wicked this way hops. Starting April 15 - May 13, Corrupted Rabbits return to Aeternum — twisted, feral, and hungry for chaos. Hunt them across the wilds to earn exclusive loot, including the new Corrupted Rabbit’s Armor set (legs, gloves, boots) and complete your look with the all-new Corruption’s Rabbit Helm in the store.

Outpost Rush: Coral Divide Preview 2
The team has taken the initial OPR feedback and suggestions from the first preview weekend of the Coral Divide OPR map and have made key changes and fixes to help with the playability of the map. Join the team again for a second preview from April 15th - April 22nd.
Changes made for this preview include:
Cleaned up the environment collision to aid in navigating the map. Removed vegetation to help with visibility and performance. Adjusted fort entrances so they are equally distant from Sol outpost, allowing both teams to arrive at the same time. Adjusted lighting to reduce saturation and improve visibility throughout the map. Reduced the cost of buildable bridges to 40 stone/40 wood and made them buildable from both sides. Removed the barriers leading to Baroness. Adjusted the subterranean areas of the map to improve visibility. Fixed an issue that allowed player to mantle wall of Star Outpost in the original Outpost Rush. Fixed an issue where players were able to platform into Sol & Astra outposts, bypassing the gates. Fixed an issue that caused Outpost Luna icons in Trench to not appear when zoomed in. Fixed issues where the terrain was raised above the ground in multiple areas.
      Notable Fixes
The notable fixes made in this update include the following:
The team is currently looking into the cause of VFX culling across Aeternum and have implemented changes that will resolve some of these VFX culling issues, but not all of them. This is a high priority for our team, so we will continue to dive into this to provide a full fix. Fixed an issue with body blocking in raids on PvP servers when players are differing factions Fixed an issue causing Typhon to sometimes remain in phase two when phase three is initiated. Fixed an issue that allowed players to activate Hatchet's Berserk ability without playing its animation. Fixed the Season Pass 'Hail to the King Seasonal World Bonus Challenge' Task not mentioning you need a melee weapon equipped for the challenge to be completed. We look forward to seeing you in Aeternum!

After obtaining the new rewards from the Rabbit's Revenge event, players discover that they can unlock a new "Pet Rabbit" emote by defeating a certain enemy with a specific weapon.
This year's Rabbit's Revenge event in New World Aeternum has brought a handful of new, limited-time rewards to the New World community, but one of these rewards provide a hint for players to unlock a hidden emote. To be more specific, players can unlock the "Corruption's Peak" Flail weapon as a reward by defeating corrupted rabbits throughout Aeternum. They can get lucky and get this item after killing even just one rabbit (1% drop chance), but if luck is not on their side, they will get it as a guaranteed drop after defeating 300 rabbits.
The Corruption's Peak Flail has a unique perk known as Rabbits Revenge, which has the description of, "Not even Stanley can withstand the corruptive power of this weapon". This description was a clear hint for players to visit Rabbit Island, which is the home of a unique named rabbit mob named Stanley.

Players quickly realized that if they defeat Stanley, that they get a unique item - the Pet Rabbit Emote Reward! Once opened, it unlocks the hidden "Pet Rabbit" emote, allowing players to pull a rabbit out of their pocket, and pet it regardless of where they are.
If you're a fan of New World: Aeternum, or a completionist, be sure to grab this weapon, hunt Stanley, and claim your hidden emote!
For a step-by-step guide on how to unlock this emote, watch the video below.

One of the biggest topics of conversation in the lands of Aeternum lately has been all around the new Outpost Rush (OPR) map, the Coral Divide. New World: Aeternum players were given an opportunity to test out this upcoming map during a specific weekend in order to provide their feedback to ensure that it's ready for the official launch - but what type of feedback did the team end up receiving?
Luckily for us, the team shared a detailed explanation of what's changing with the map many of us have already tested, as well as an additional chance to test out this map (with the new changes) from April 15 to April 21.

Combat & Engagement Enhancements
