I see the recommended skill tree for the mage build is different to the build shown on the page for fire staff. The mage build mentions that we don't take the Scorched Earth upgrade to fireball as it actually lowers our damage. For the time being, I would refer to the build on the main page for fire staff. That upgrade to fireball does not lower the damage of the ability anymore, that was due to a bug early in the game.
