Hybrys 199 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 Gear is looking pretty good. Although Mastery is often the better option for gems, I do usually recommend that people go to 30% Haste, then Mastery, and it looks like you've done just that! You should be trying to get a Purified Bindings of Immerseus from every difficulty, as even an LFR version will beat out your Flex Black Blood of Y'Shaarj. As for your logs: Remember that you can pre-cast a spell to land right when the tanks pull. With Elemental Blast (or EB), I recommend hitting a Potion and Fire Ele at 3 seconds left, and starting an EB as soon as you get out of that GCD. It should land at about 0.2 to 0.5 seconds after the pull, then you can go right into your opener. Your opener looks off as well. You used Flame Shock, then Elemental Blast, then a Lava Burst. You should be going right to Lava Burst and Ascendance, because it's the cooldown of Lava Burst that matters. So, to clarify, the recommended opener is: Pot & Fire Ele @ 3 seconds on the pull timer --> EB @ 1 or 2 on the pull timer --> Flame Shock --> Lava Burst --> Ascendance --> Lava Burst until Ascend is finished Or, if you cannot precast: Flame Shock --> Lava Burst --> Ascend --> Lava Burst until Ascend is over Another thing you should be more aware of is your Fulmination procs. While this isn't bad, it's also not very tight, and you can see a lot of lost procs in there. You can hover your mouse over each plateau to see where those wasted procs were. http://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/QHBW8Ch6RmAfF2yv#fight=28&type=resources&source=12&spell=150 You should also be more aware of the duration of the fight and Searing Totem. For Searing Totem to be useful, you need it to be active for atleast 95% of it's minute uptime. So if the fight is ending in 40 seconds, you'd be better off not casting it at all. Now, even if you never did cast it during the fight, it'd only be a ~1% or less loss, so it's not a big deal if you'd rather work on big picture things (Fulmination, Lava Surge reaction time, CD timing, etc.). You might want to look at adding in storm lash totem (and sometimes bloodlust) depending on the team plan for the cooldowns. I can see you used it on the pull which is fine Nice to see the Healing tide and Ancestral Guidance in there to help out with healing too Edited June 27, 2014 by grautod
