Blizzard has updated many placeholder Encounter Journal boss descriptions in Patch 9.2 Build 41257. adding more information about the actual raid encounters. Important additions include the Prototype Pantheon, Anduin, and the Jailer boss descriptions.

  • Vigilant Guardian - This eternal guardian lies in wait, keeping a timeless vigil over the entrance to the Sepulcher of the First Ones.
  • Dausegne, the Fallen Oracle - Controlled by Zovaal, Dausegne leads the mawsworn in a battle to gain control of the Forge of Afterlives. With its power, The Jailer will be able to create an eternity of torment.
  • Prototype Pantheon - The first iteration of the immortal council was not put into use because their ideals were too extreme. With the enemy at the gate, Lihuvim has little choice but to reactivate these dangerous prototypes.
  • Lihuvim, Principle Architect - With great care, Lihuvim weaves ephemera into being in accordance with the hallowed will of the First Ones. Now this process is threatened as mawsworn forces seek to claim this power.
  • Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener - With the Sepulcher of the First Ones vunerable, devourers flood in to feed their hunger. Among these beasts is the ravenous Skolex. As the great worm consumes vast amounts of ephemra, the sepulcher is thrown out of balance and threatens to collapse onto itself.
  • Halondrus the Reclaimer - For eons Halondrus traversed the caverns of the Sepulcher of the First Ones fulfilling its sacred purpose of reclaiming ephemera and returning it to the great cycle. With intruders now throwing this pattern into anarchy, the ancient keeper will do whatever it must to maintain order.
  • Anduin Wrynn - Completely under Zovaal's control, Anduin stands ready to destroy any who oppose his master. As time runs out, a difficult choice must be made. Defeat the boy king to save the cosmos, or risk everything in order to restore his soul.
  • Rygelon - Drawn to observe the events taking place within the Sepulcher of the First Ones, Rygelon was soon dominated by Zovaal. Now this constellar turns its cosmic power against any who would oppose the Jailer.
  • Lords of Dread - The Dread Lords have worked for eons to bring Zovaal's plan to completion. Now, on the brink of their master's victory, they only need to complete one final task to ensure none are left to resist the new order.
  • Artificer Xy'mox - Driven by greed, Xy'mox lead his most loyal associates to the Sepulcher of the First Ones. Using the chaos to pluner its riches, Xymox seeks to weaponize ephemera in order to propel himself to unlimited power.
  • The Jailer- For millenia, Zovaal manipulated forces throughout the universe to place him in this position of power. At this final step, the heroes of Azeroth rally to fight a cosmic being who has never known defeat.

Defeat the boy king

...Not an Anduin fan by any means, but isn't he in his 20s or so by this point?

Err, he was in fact, very defeated and jailed in the maw for untold eons?

Minor quibbles on descriptions aside, I hope we get some non-Sylvannas lore that will actually explain what happened eons ago that made the jailer rebel, what his motivators are and all that.    To date he's just a "I want moar power!" mustachioed villain who likes BSDM gear.

Wasn't his goal remaking the system all along? That's why he got banished? And getting banished doesn't entirely mean defeated. If defeated, he wouldn't be able to come back which he did. Can't escape the maw? Just expand the maw to the place you want to reach. EZ.

That's what Sylvannas said in a very vague way, but that's lacking specifics and other aspects like why the others opposed him, what he wanted to change it to, etc.    And I think if you're banished for a star's lifetime without being able to do anything till (also unexplained) arbiter short circuit + evil count chokula sends you a huge anima surge, then yes you were defeated.

Pretty much this, we know he wants to unmake all of reality and then he would remake it in his image, somehow. But as for why, there just wasn't enough character development for him. He was simply inserted into lore as some mastermind behind the scenes, where some of the most important events were part of his plan. No idea why he suddenly found the system made by First Ones flawed and decided to betray other Eternal Ones, as there weren't any good explanations.

You guys remember this "Boy king has been made a pawn"

Void knew about this all along and they actually knew what was going to happen

I mean how it that possible? Is void stronger power than Zoval and death?

If Zoval succeed and rewrite the universe will he be able to destroy void lords and void forces?

I mean if Zoval wanna rule over everything and by everything i mean Void , Light 2 things we didnt see completely present in shadowlands and i know about Z'rali in Revendreth, Void attacked bastion before and Light burned half of Revendreth but this First Ones who jailer seeks their knowledge and devices and power to reach his end goal, this whole shebang will have effect on Void and Light forces that i think their have their own plane of reality too? those forces and realities also can be altered by Zoval?

At this point im thinking about other phrase "At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming"

So Azeroth third death? and who is coming? Void? so jailer will be defeated and Void will use this opportunity to invade this reality in full force? i mean Il'gynoth belongs to Void side and it seems Jailor is not working with Void forces maybe even they are enemies so Il'gynoth knew about this whole time and N'zoth too .. maybe?

Maybe rewriting everything means they will also be affected? There are more possible plot holes, would remaining demons in Twisting Nether be undone as well? Twisting Nether is supposed to span "all realities". No idea how all of this fits together. Chances are, that comic with Anduin wasn't planned that far ahead, it might be simply dismissed as potential vision, not certainty. If they were able to introduce Jailer as someone "closing the chapter which started in Warcraft 3" (and this means nothing, current writers weren't even there when this story was being written), they can always introduce Void Lords as even more powerful beings.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
