Msv 2 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) Hello fellow Mages of Icy-Veins! I am here today looking for ways to improve my DPS as an Arcane Mage. I am 580 ilvl (Armory) http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/sargeras/Msv/advanced I'm aware i'm itemized poorly. Far too much Crit. Now unfortunately the only Heroic Logs I have are from when I was Frost, being that I recently switched to Arcane. So Normal/Flex logs will have to do. Normal: (Norushen-Shamans) http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-s8l565bo693om8er/sum/damageDone/?s=525&e=784 Flex: (Shamans-Siegecrafter) http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-5rqiej6aw9o6du7t/sum/damageDone/?s=887&e=1048 PS. Disregard Paragons, I disconnected. PSS. Apologies about the long links, unfamiliar with all this . Any thoughts/comments/criticism will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Berlinia 168 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 Hey Msv,I will look through the logs when I get home. However, any chance you can copy paste the files and translate them into Warcraft Logs? I think there is a way to do so. ALso move away from WoL to WCL it's far more extensive and easy to use! Makes giving feedback far more elaborate and easy. Msv 2 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 Hello Berlinia :), I will search up how to do it when I get home from dinner. Also, I personally do not run logs as I should, I just had a friend running them and decided to throw them up here. But when I do start running them I'll use WCL :). Berlinia 168 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 Thank you very much mate, World of Logs is full with bugs.... You can have perfect uptimes and it might show you had 15%. Pretty weird stuff :)
Msv 2 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) I can't seem to find a way to convert the logs. Any suggestions? Edit: Assuming I would of had to of been the person recording the Logs to convert them? Edited July 3, 2014 by Msv
Oltier 471 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 I can't seem to find a way to convert the logs. Any suggestions? Edit: Assuming I would of had to of been the person recording the Logs to convert them? What do you mean by convert? You need to ask for the logfile from your friend and jsut upload it to Warcraftlogs. :) Nothing needs to be done to it. :)
Msv 2 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 Apologies ahah. Lack of a better word. I'll see if my friend will do it. If for some reason he can't/won't i'll run some tomorrow using WCL :).
Oltier 471 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 So basically the way you do loging: Before the fight, you type /combatlog into chat. You do the fight.. You can type /combatlog to disable loging, or just let it log the whole raid. But don't forget, if you get dced or anything you have to enable it again. You can also download autocombatlogger addons, that enable combatlogging upon entering a dungeon/raid. Once your raid is over, you open up warcraftlogs client, you click browse, select the night's combatlog and click upload. Then, you'll get a link and that is what you should share with us. There is no difference in the actual combatlog for WoL and WCL. The difference is how they process that raw data. WCL does it way better. :)
