I think the BiS high Tier Gathering melds are not quite right on the guide, they show to use Gatherer's Grasp Materia VI however those cannot be affixed in the slots it suggests?

The High Tier Gathering melds do not use any Gatherer's Grasp Materia VI. 

You may be confusing it with grade 9 materia which also provides +8 GP and can be overmelded.

How do you already know what to exactly meld for the High tier crafting set while the books aren't out yet? You can't know the breaking points yet?

Bit of a late reply but still applies with the current meldsets. 

We generally do a range of predictions and calculations including simulating future crafts, looking at rotational breakpoints and looking at craftsmanship breakpoints.

In our budget meld set, the aim is to focus on price. 

A Craftsman's Cunning Materia VIII, grade 8, is a hell of a lot cheaper than anything else available the vast majority of the time.

[Guest High tier craft meld]

Hi, just looking at the high tier 7.1 crafter melds, the feet say +6cp, but when I look I can only meld +4, am I doing something wrong? Thanks
