First 9.2 and Final Sanctum of Domination Mythic DPS and Healer Log Rankings: Many Changes, Enhancement Out of the Doghouse

Recommended Posts

It's both a first and a last this week, as we're taking a look at the final Sanctum of Domination stats, which are also the first ones after the patch 9.2 class changes and general shakeup! With Sepulcher of the First Ones on the horizon for tomorrow/Wednesday, let's take a look at how the classes are doing in the still current raid and how things changed after the patch.

There's been some big changes on top after the patch too, with Rogues coming back with a vengeance, Enhancement getting out of the bottom (and then some) and Retribution finally pushing up!

Mythic DPS Rankings

This is pretty much the last we'll be seeing of the Mythic rankings for a while, or at least the last that they'll be relevant, as the next month or so it'll be just the very top guilds pushing on the Sepulcher bosses on that front, skewing the logs quite a bit. There have also been some Sylvanas dagger bug shenanigans going on with Rogues lately, but that's all been purged from the logs as far as we're aware, so the stats should be clean.

95th Percentile

In the top percentiles we see only Fury keep its position in the top, as Outlaw takes the crown and Balance dives an incredible 20 spaces down from 1st to 21st! It seems top players bailed on the spec for the final week of Sanctum, while Arms Warriors made a big return, slotting in just under Fury in 3rd. Assassination was always poking around the top before 9.2, and now it's secured the 4th spot, just ahead of almost constant 9.1.5 No.1 Windwalker, who barely holds on to the top 5. Havoc's consistent rise throughout 9.1.5 hasn't been deterred much with the new patch, as it actually kept it's No.6 spot, and we also see an old face coming in after it, as Fire snags No.7. We also have our first pink top 10 sighting in a LONG time, as Retribution gets in on number 9, with Subtletly dropping 3 spots into 10th after some Sylvanas dagger bug cleanup.

The bottom is actually looking rather different as well, with Enhancement finally bailing out of drop dead last, leaping a huge 10 spots up! Destruction wasn't as lucky as it now claims the bottom of the bottom slot, as Shadow drops down even further from its not-so-great 9.1.5 position, joined by the literal No.1 from the previous patch.

All Percentiles

The generalist bracket is looking similar to the top, with Fury dropping one, but Balance also dropping a giant amount, and Outlaw, Arms and Assassination being the big winners. Havoc dropped 2 spots but is still very high up, with Subtletly having the same experience, and we do see pink in the top 10 once more, even higher this time with Retribution's 7th spot! Windwalkers weren't so high at the end of 9.1.5 here so they keep their No.8, and we then see both DK specs come in to fill out the top 10, Unholy rising 8 spots and Frost 3.

Enhancement flees the bottom here as well, leaping a giant amount and leaving Frost Mage to enjoy the dead-last spot, as Shadow and Destruction join it in the bottom 3.

Healer HPS, All Percentiles

It seems Warcraft Logs aren't showing tank DPS any more (or I just can't find the stats), so we'll just be covering the healers, which is probably for the best, as tank DPS isn't exactly a very useful stat to determine their value in raids. As for the Healers in 9.2, Druids are back on top with a vengeance, and the former No.1 Mistweaver also got taken down by Holy, while the bottom 3 remained the same after Disc was surpassed by its fellow Priest.

Boss-Specific DPS Rankings

We'll also take a quick look at the 3 most relevant bosses for the Sanctum one last time.

Painsmith:

Retribution may be doing very well overall, but it's always been the No.1 for Painsmith, and it remains so in 9.2 as well, with Arms jumping up into 2nd with the new patch.

Kel'Thuzad:

Elemental stays on top for Kel, with Affliction keeping its 2nd spot as well, but Survival makes a big appearance in 3rd.

Sylvanas:

The top 2 Druid combo that's been present on the final boss of the Sanctum for months now has been broken, as the top spec overall is also on top here, with the overall Balance shortage hitting on Sylvanas as well!

Heroic DPS Rankings

Heroic was affected by the patch changes as well, going full yellow top 2, with Feral finally breaking through and getting into the top 3 after rising slowly but surely throughout 9.1.5! Fire makes an appearance at 4, as Arms and Havoc showcase their resilience here as well, and Enhancement actually managed to make it into the top 10 in Heroic!

As always, if you want even more info on a spec, you can check out our class guides here, for a DPS tier list you can go here, or for even more data, head on over to Warcraft Logs.

Anyone have a good rankings chart for new raid? Don't care too much about this one since it accounts for Dom shards and not at all for double lego or tier set

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
