MichaelMaloney 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/turalyon/Riolas/advanced i'm currently arcane i've played all three spec and i just think arcane is doing low dps i can't provide any log (sorry! i just don't know how to use them right) but i did some damage on a test dummy and pulled around 208k doing the right rotation i know how to play all three spec pretty well. and if i went fire i would have around 44% crit. i use AMR to gem and enchant my gear. I'm sorry I wasn't too clear as I just woke up when I replied. Generally, what I can suggest then, is just to try them out... As you can read in the FAQ, they are really performing on the same level (except fire under certain ammount of crit) and I can't and won't tell you that you HAVE TO BE Arcane/Frost/Fire. They had in november still under the frost mage guide the Frostbolt damage amp debuff and they recommended intellect gems. What they show for best dps is most probably somr outdated result of. Simcraft. So basically (even if simcraft os correct which it is not) Frost is better for him for a single target fight with no movement for 450 seconds. Sikkz 27 Report post Posted July 18, 2014 I don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but you are asking a question that doesn't have an answer. There is no "best". I don't blame you for asking this question, though, because cookie-cutter specs/builds were the norm for so long. Those times have past, and you have to decide for yourself now.
