SimCraft - How much of your patchwerk sim DPS should you be doing?

Recommended Posts

Hey there.

I've recently started to mess around with simcraft, testing different reforges, gems and the likes of it and I've been wondering.

Let's say you get a result of 250k dps on a patchwerk fight. How much of the DPS would you realistically be pulling to be considered a very good DPS? 85-90% ?

In this particular case it's destro we're talking about.

Patchwerk doesn't exist anymore really so don't start looking at these sorts of scenarios to benchmark yourself.

Iron Juggernaut and Malkorok both contain periods of uncontrolled forced movement/interruptions, and can also force you out of range for prolonged period, or provide adds for extra damage/resources.

Better to just post us some logs and we can tell you where you need to improve, rather than imposing theoretical benchmarks for you to hit which are based off nothing but opinion and guesswork.

I've regularly beaten my Patchwerk DPS simulation on IJ and Malkorok.  Simcraft is very very complex and difficult to gauge Warlocks because of our RNG-dependent and dynamic rotations.  Simcraft will be much more accurate in WoD.
