wow Inclusivity Updates in Dragonflight

Blizzard is working on multiple inclusivity updates in Dragonflight. These include various character customization updates like pronouns, voices, and more.

Character Customization

Character customization has been updated in Dragonflight, renaming Male and Female body options to Body 1 and Body 2. The change can be seen on the Character Creation Screen and in the Barber Shop.

Pronouns

Datamined strings hint at the option to change your character's pronouns. The current pronoun options are he/him, she/her, and they/them. This hasn't been implemented yet on Dragonflight Alpha.

Voice

Blizzard is working on letting players pick a body type and voice independently of each other. The change is also hinted at in the character customization table, but hasn't been implemented yet.

Why can't we have something in our options menu to opt of these pronouns, I don't know about you guys but I'm happy with calling a spade a spade, having all these extra things in game is good and all but for the people who don't want to keep hearing about it have that option? Hope that makes sense.

Not surprised WoWhead locked their comments, they often do under similar news. It doesn't change much besides renaming in character customization and adding they/them as an option, which is pretty low effort to be honest. And it looks like Dracthyr will be the only ones to have more body types, adding more body types for other races would actually be good.

Companies don't really care, if they do this it means it's their attempt to attract wider audience (whether it works or not is another thing, but very often it does). And it's not about denying biology, on the contrary, since identity is a separate thing, but it's a topic for a longer discussion. That beind said, it's done in the easiest way, so they only had to change some text.

I am against locking comments for certain subjects, this is not the 1st time, the fact they do that is to prevent people from letting them know what they think about these subjects, they pretend everyone is okay with this. what a hypocrisy. they pretend to care about the 1% players by preventing 99% of them to give their opinion.

while the "pronouns" stuff is stupid AF to me as long as they dont force you to have them its w/e and the body type 1/2 really doesn't seem like a male or female thing its more like a skinny or thick dragon look since neither one looks male or female in dragon form

its funny how every time a developer is doing something that doesnt impact anyone that is playing the game but is just a nice little thing to be more inclusive people act like there chars are forced to do naughty things with the same *filtered*.

but  inclusion and representation is so freaking important because if we get included in more things the more it gets normal for people. we are part of the world and we wont go away and we deserve the same respect and the same rights as every one else and we need the representation so some day hopefully less and less people say stuff like "gender-confused chinchilla" or like another guy here that called us mantally deranged.

My guy this isn't inclusive it excludes the 99.999999% of people on this planet that know there's only 2 genders.

You're right. Attempting to normalize it is the goal. The problem is it's not normal. So what you're *actually doing* is tearing down the pillars of society and our understanding of humanity for the sake of some few, frankly confused, people.
