Diablo Immortal Player Who Spent $100K on the Game is Now Stuck in MMR Limbo

Recommended Posts

ICCEYHN08ZKO1656478022696.jpg

Diablo Immortal Youtuber jtisallbusiness who spent $100K on the game and reached maximum Resonance said he can't enter Battlegrounds as the matchmaker won't find him a single game due to his high MMR.

JT spent so much money immediately following the game's release that he was able to easily beat almost everyone in the game's PvP Battlegrounds mode. With hundreds of wins and only a few losses, his MMR soon became so high it became virtually impossible to queue with anyone else.

JT's clan OneTimes is queueing up for Rite for Exiles, but he can't join them as part of the questline requires participating in a standard BG PvP match and he's stuck in an MMR limbo.

Jtisallbusiness asked his viewers if he should try to refund the $100K spent due to the issue.

The Youtuber also reached out to Blizzard who said they're working on matchmaking improvements that will hopefully arrive soon.

It's been an interesting experience for me seeing no matter how far games push their players in monetization, there will ALWAYS be someone out there defending it.

In the past, when ever the topic of "P2W" come up in discussions surrounding a certain game. Players use to say: "It's not P2W when you do not gain an advantage over other players." or "It's not P2W when it's PvE."

I remember watching JT's video, he has a MMR rating of 400+ wins and 3 or 4 losses or something similar.

Now that there is no solid defense for Immortal's P2W nature. I remember I started seeing, over and over again in the Immortal in-game chat, how it is now suddenly about "You are playing a game for free, quit complaining, just quit."

These people always back up, huddle up and draw their new line in the sand and argue behind it as if they never lost any grounds. Their love for Diablo and their emotional and monetary investment into Diablo seem to have no bottom line.

In Immortal endgame, the gaps that exist between minnows, dolphins (me), sharks, whales and god damn krakens throw the overall balance and pacing completely off in pvp and pve. There is no "standard" for average monthly money or time spending where everyone can agree is the sweet spot.

In the online gaming environment, rewards for passion and dedication should not become something money can buy. Immortal is quite the *filtered* garbage, and it belongs in the toilet, and ironically so, on the toilet.

The worlds of Sanctuary and Azeroth are combining once again, this time focused on the Diablo Immortal side of things! Frostmourne has appeared in Sanctuary and is summoning portals in Immortal as players have to defeat the enemies in them to earn rewards, including Frostmourne itself as a cosmetic and a new portal appearance.
Note: this crossover is only on the Diablo: Immortal side.
      Immortal (Source)
In a spectacle of fate, Frostmourne, a mysterious blade belonging to the feared Lich King, has materialized in Sanctuary. Undead threats amass in frost-laden portals, bolstering Diablo’s ever-growing strength. Sinister forces from two distinct universes have collided! The havoc they can wreak together is immeasurable. Adventurer, it is up to you to strike down these emerging dangers in the Diablo Immortal® x World of Warcraft® collaboration!
Shadow of the Frozen Throne Event

Menacing Frozen Gates have been spotted throughout Sanctuary’s wilderness. Their glacial presence intimidates all who dare to gaze upon them. From July 4, 3 a.m.–July 26, 3 a.m. server time, you must track down these portals, brave the bitter cold by entering them, and melt the frozen hearts of the invaders waiting within.
A newfound power, Chill of the Frozen Throne, will be at your fingertips as you navigate the home of the freezing dead. Here’s how it works: Killing 5 monsters increases damage by 10% for 10 seconds. Randomly raise an undead warrior to fight for you (up to 5). Let this long unseen power champion your victory and lead you to rewards.
      Thaw Out Otherworldly Rewards
Logging into Diablo Immortal during the Shadow of the Frozen Throne event will earn you the Icecrown Frame and completing the event will net you the Frostmourne Weapon Cosmetic. Just make sure to keep Frostmourne fed with souls, or else…

Reimagine your portal in image of the looming Icecrown Citadel. Receive a World of Warcraft-inspired Icecrown Pathway Portal with any Diablo Immortal real money purchase until July 26. In-game or Battle.net*only, limit one per character. The portal will be available to redeem starting July 11.
*If you received the Icecrown Pathway Portal as a bonus for any Diablo Immortal real money purchase made through Battle.net, the first character you log into Diablo Immortal with is eligible to claim the portal.

The fourth and largest major update for Diablo Immortal is here and adds the new Ancients' Cradle Zone, 3 limited-time events, one skill for each class, and more.
Blizzard also announced the launch of 4 new servers with the major update.

Chaos is at your doorstep, adventurer. Can you quell it?
Welcome to Destruction’s Wake, our fourth and largest major update for Diablo Immortal thus far. It goes without saying that your support of Diablo Immortal for the past year is what has brought us to this colossal milestone, our anniversary celebration. We cannot thank you enough for all your valuable feedback and hours spent protecting Sanctuary from the demonic legions of the Burning Hells. Thank you for making this possible!
This update is in tribute to the co-creators of Sanctuary, Lilith and Inarius, and ushers in the new Ancients’ Cradle Zone, three new limited-time events, one new Skill for each Class, and much more for veteran and new adventurers alike.
After the upcoming maintenance periods, players with a Paragon Level lower than their Server’s Paragon Level can receive up to a 1,500% experience bonus to help them catch up and experience the features detailed in this major update.
Before we dive into the next chapter of Diablo Immortal’s story, we are proud to announce the launch of 4 new servers with this major update: Peace Warders (English server in Europe), Marius (German server in Europe), Kesor (Polish server in Europe), and 連鎖閃電 (Chinese server in East Asia). In our next content update, which is coming in about two weeks, we will introduce another wave of Server Merges for Japanese servers.

New Zone and Questline: Ancients’ Cradle

Your next journey takes you to Ancients’ Cradle, a remote island in the Forgotten Sea. Meet the ancient Lilin and Inari peoples--whose lineage can be traced back to Sanctuary’s creation--as you continue to pursue the Cult of Terror following your retrieval of the Pathstone. You must keep your wits about you adventurer, for the Cult of Terror will stop at nothing to purify the Worldstone, putting the power of creation in the hands of Diablo himself.
To visit the Ancients’ Cradle Zone and embark on its main questline, you must first reach Hell Difficulty VI and complete the Fare You Well prologue quest. Speak with Zathan outside of Deckard Cain’s workshop to begin the prologue quest. The island is rife with sacred Lilin and Inari ruins to explore—you’ll also help quell rising tensions between the two groups, clean up corruption, and restore the island to its former glory across 8 new side quests.
Don’t forget to hone your demon decimating skills before travelling to Ancient’s Cradle. This Zone is plagued by the Afflicted (locals who have been transformed into a new evil by the curse), Amalgamations (ravenous flora and fauna who will relegate you to the bottom of the island’s food chain), and Cradleguard (constructs sent into a never-ending frenzy because of the Pathstone’s removal from the island). There’s no shortage of new haunts from the Burning Hells to snuff out!
Tensions are rising, adventure. Will you rise to meet them?

      Inferno Difficulty and Hearthrot Demons

A hotter degree of difficulty has erupted from the depths of the Burning Hells: Inferno. To unlock Inferno Difficulty I you must defeat Phangwrth, Warmth-Feaster on Hell Difficulty VIII and be at least Paragon Level 800. To unlock Inferno Difficulties II and III, you must dispatch a new breed of evil, the Hearthrot Demons. Playing on Inferno Difficulty gives you access to the new Inferno Difficulty Leaderboards, new Legendary Items to enhance your build, and the new Stances combat mechanic.
A Putrid Pack of Hell-Raisers has Ravaged Sanctuary—Meet the Hearthrot Demons
      Vhansoon, Desolation’s Scourge

The moment of Vhansoon's emergence upon Sanctuary withered foliage and split the earth for miles around the Atrium Ignic. Those who gaze upon Desolation’s Scourge feel their teeth and nails start to splinter. Yet it is the beast’s most precise weapon, a great cannon from the Hellforge, that has claimed the greatest number of human lives.
Defeating any of the Heartrot Demons drops new Demonic Remains, each of which match an applicable slot in the Helliquary.
      Strazos, Steadfast Decay

Strazos views all life as a steppingstone, allowing him to take his place as the end of all things. The Steadfast Decay longs to oversee the slow rot of Sanctuary. He feeds on souls locked in his Entropic Prison, draining them of their life while they watch their essence used to conquer the living.
Defeating Strazos on Inferno Difficulty I alone or with a party unlocks Inferno Difficulty II.
      Gebdu, Mountain Breaker

A creature of solitude, Gebdu strives to purge the land of life, leaving behind a bare and desolate world. The Mountain Breaker relies on his massive strength and size to shatter towns and collapse caverns, reducing any creature to paste on which his children feed. Gebdu was once shown a vision of Sanctuary, and now wishes to see it all crumble at once.
      Khuluul the Crooked Grin

Khuluul enjoys watching a city burn like the rest of his ilk, but he finds greater pleasure in tricking a city’s residents into lighting their own kindling. No destruction is sweeter than the destruction of trust. Those who stumble into his Crooked Castelet soon become his puppets, wetting their hands with the blood of friends and family, denied the mercy of death until their new master is satisfied, and he is never satisfied.
Defeating Khuluul the Crooked Grin on Inferno Difficulty II unlocks Inferno Difficulty III.
      Yamnaal of the Deluge

Yamnaal's joy in slaying mortals is downright subdued next to his relish in the erosion of everything around him. Endless, corrosive rain heralds his appearance; even the sightless tlatch that share his prey have had their eyes worn away in the damp of the sunken grotto.
      Saarodan, Sky-Sunderer

The Fulminous Parapet once secured the mountain pass between Aranoch and Khanduras in the time of Rakkis, but now it is home to a demon that has broken the sky into subservience. Saarodan cackles with thunderous glee as his victims flee in panic, for both they and the Sky-Sunderer know that no one can outrun lightning; no one can escape the reach of the sky.
New to the Helliquary Gauntlet: Hearthrot Demons
The vile Hearthrot demons can now be fought in the Helliquary Gauntlet. Completing the Inferno Helliquary Gauntlet for each difficulty level will earn you Cosmetics from the Scions of the Storm Argent set. Visit Rayek to begin the challenge of a lifetime.

      New Combat Mechanic: Stances

A martial innovation from the times of yore has once resurfaced in Sanctuary. It is time you worked new Stances into your nightmare-slaying routine. To utilize Stances, you must be in the Inferno Difficulty. Once you’re playing on this difficulty, you’ll see a second set of weapon slots unlocked; equip items to these slots for Stances to automatically enable itself. The additional slots can have gems socketed into them to further enhance your character’s power.
Now that you’ve got the right equipment, it’s time to teach you how to use your Stances. All Classes have both an Offensive and Defensive Stance. They each provide unique passive bonuses that further the proficiencies of your Class and can be shifted between every 30 seconds while in combat. Upon switching Stances, the passive bonus will be thrice as strong for the first 3 seconds, allowing you to immediately reap the benefits of your Offensive of Defensive stance.
Listed below are the Offensive and Defensive Stances and their passive bonuses for each Class.

There are a few additional things to note about Stances:
While 4 weapons are equipped, all Legendary Gems, Legendary Item Affixes, and Attributes will be active. Offensive bonuses of equipped weapons are reduced to 60% power while in the Defensive Stance. You may only equip one Legendary Item that affects each Skill while Stances are active. Stances inject another layer of variety into the moment-to-moment combat of Diablo Immortal. We are excited to expand the ways in which players can react to whatever Hell throws their way and seeing our community take their builds to new heights.

      3 New Legendary Gems

Three new Legendary Gems have joined the line up. Experiment with these gems to discover new synergies and make your character’s build blaze like the flames of the Burning Hells. The below values for each gem reflect their power at Rank-10:

Cannot occur more often than once every 20 seconds. The meteorites also scorch the ground for 2 seconds, Burning enemies in the area and dealing 40% base damage every second.
      Modify Your Drop Tables
From June 15, 3:00 a.m.–July 13, 2:59 a.m. server time, players will have the option to enable a modified drop table for their Legendary Crests when running Elder Rifts. Once enabled, whenever you receive a Five-Star Legendary Gem as a drop, there’s a 50% chance it will be Starfire Shard. Then, from July 13, 3 a.m.–August 3, 3 a.m. server time, players can enable a modified drop table for their Legendary Crests which allows them to choose 12 Five-Star Legendary Gems. Whenever you receive a Five-Star Legendary Gem, it is guaranteed to be one of the gems you selected.

Seeds of Sown Gold (2-Piece Bonus): Continually Channeling a skill against the same enemy gradually increases the damage of that skill up to a maximum of 30%.
Seeds of Sown Gold (4-Piece Bonus): After you stop Channeling a skill, enemies hit by it take an additional explosion of damage for 30% of the damage dealt to them by that Channeled skill.
Seeds of Sown Gold (6-Piece Bonus): After you start Channeling a skill, gain Artisan's Endurance for 8 seconds. While Channeling under the effect of Artisan's Endurance, you are immune to knockback effects and damage dealt to you is reduced by 40%. Justinian’s Favor Limited-Time Event

With Hell’s demons running amok, wealth and safety are scarce in Sanctuary. The people of Westmarch turn to King Justinian IV, seeking leadership and reassurance. Instead, Justinian suppresses the concerns of his subjects with paltry amounts of coin, obsessing over his beloved artifacts instead. May Justinian’s favor rain down upon you too, adventurer.
Each day from June 15, 3 a.m.–July 13, 3 a.m. server time, you can embark on Justinian’s Favor tasks. Completing seven tasks will earn you a key. Feature Updates
      Combat Rating Adjustment
Combat Rating and Primary Attribute are now separate statistics. The Combat Rating for items will be displayed directly on them and is no longer based on the item’s attribute.
Items that drop will now have greater Primary Attribute diversity and an increased chance to have a higher Combat Rating. This is to help players grow their Combat Rating quickly and introduce more variety in their Item choices.
Battleground and Challenge Rift Schedule Change
On some servers, Battleground would reset in as little as 3 weeks, not leaving enough time for players to push to their desired rank. While on other servers, an Immortal reign might be strong and last for longer periods of time, resulting in less rewards because the season doesn't end as frequently. Similarly, Challenge Rifts have weekly and monthly rewards that aren't directly tied to any in-game events. The following changes aim to update and unify the way this content in Diablo Immortal resets, to make the rewards and timing more consistent and forgiving.
Starting on June 16, all current Battleground seasons will end, and rewards will be distributed accordingly. Battleground and Challenge Rifts will now reset on a 10-week cycle that is independent of Cycle of Strife—the rewards are being updated accordingly as well. In addition to the seasonal one-time bracket and end of season rewards, Battleground will provide a weekly reward based upon your rank. Battleground participation is also being removed as a requirement for Badges of Honor because it's no longer tied to the reign being reset.
      Battleground rewards:
Weekly Rewards: Purification Shards, Charms, Scrap End of Season Rewards: Reforge Stones, Normal Gems Challenge Rifts will continue to provide weekly rewards, but the monthly rewards will instead be distributed at the end of the season. The 2, 3, and 4 player Leaderboards have been removed as well. Our goal is to consolidate the seasonal gameplay into one event that happens on a fixed schedule. This is being done to provide players with more time to complete the activities and normalize the rewards for all players regardless of the Cycle of Strife cadence on their server.
      Challenge Rift rewards:
Rift Weekly Rewards: Gold, Hilts, Scrap End of Season Rewards: Enigmatic Crystals, Hilts Hidden Lair Rewards
Hidden Lairs now reward guaranteed Normal Gems for each objective, up to a weekly maximum of 21 Hidden Lairs (42 floors). The entrance menu will still indicate whether the player has reached the individual caps for each gem type, but it’s now a weekly total instead of daily. This should reduce the effort needed to earn all associated rewards and assist players who might be catching up.
      Accursed Towers
To give smaller Clans increased opportunity to claim towers and allow a smoother start to the season on servers with higher populations, we made some adjustments to Accursed Towers:
The maximum number of towers available in each season has increased from 150 to 200. The number of regions has increased from 3 to 4. 2 Regions will unlock during the first week of each season. Ancestral Tableau
To support the adjustments to Combat Rating on gear, the Ancestral Tableau will now have a separate stat for Combat Rating. Max Bonus values for each stat will use the highest value among items placed in the Tableau.
For example, if Player A has a triple stat item that has 200 Intellect, Willpower, and Fortitude—plus 500 Combat Rating—and Player B has a double stat weapon with 300 Vitality and Willpower—plus 550 Combat Rating—then the Max Bonus for the Ancestral Tableau would be: 200 Intellect and Fortitude, and 300 Vitality, Willpower, and 550 Combat Rating. Since there's no other weapons in the Ancestral Tableau in this example, the Max Bonus for Strength would be 0.
The drop rate of Ancestral Weapons has increased as well.
      Deeds of Valor Badges
The Akeba's Chosen Shadows Clan leader badge now requires that you be the leader of a top 10 Clan by the end of the Immortal reign. Additionally, Battleground will no longer count towards your Deeds of Valor badge because Battleground no longer resets with the Cycle of Strife.
The requirements to earn the Indomitable Deeds of Valor badge have also been adjusted to make it more readily obtainable for Immortals.
      Shadows Daily Quest Change
The Shadows Daily Challenge that required players to “win a Battleground match” is now “play a Battleground match” to allow for quicker completion.
      Immortal Eternal Crown Bonuses
When a new Immortal reign starts, the Immortal's Eternal Crown bonuses will now begin as a 16% Damage Increase and 16% Defense Increase. The maximum benefit will persist as a 32% Damage Increase and 32% Defense Increase.
      Paragon Specialization in Battleground
Paragon Specializations can no longer be swapped during an active Battleground. They may still be swapped prior to the start of battle.
      Codex Objectives for Inferno Difficulties
There are new Codex Objectives for Inferno Difficulties I, II, and III. They unlock at Paragon Level 800, 900, and 1,000 respectively.
      Prodigy’s Path Refresh
We're refreshing Prodigy's Path to complement the new Paragon Level cap.
Prodigy's Path IV will unlock when players reach Level 700. Prodigy's Path I will disappear from the menu once players unlock Prodigy's Path IV. All unclaimed rewards will be sent to your Inbox. Players can continue to claim Prodigy's Path IV rewards after Paragon Level 800, based upon the Expected Paragon Level, if they choose to stop leveling at Paragon Level 799 Hero's Journey
Following the maintenance windows for this major content update, all current progress for Hero’s Journey Chapters 1 through 6 will be paused and a new Hero’s Journey will begin. Only Chapters 1 through 4 will be available for the new Hero’s Journey, with Chapters 5 and 6 coming later. This Hero’s Journey is planned to be available for about six months, like previous iterations.
While completing their Chapters, adventurers will receive a bevy of rewards, and once Chapter 4 is completed, they will receive the Resplendent Journey Frame—a token of triumph.
      Activity Scheduler
Scheduled activities created by your fellow Warband or Clan members will now display a red dot to increase their visibility.

      Accursed Towers Clan-based Game Mode

Recently, cryptic obelisks from many eons ago were unearthed, each exuding an aura of power. Sanctuary’s denizens desire to claim such power for themselves but do not yet know how to do so. Accursed Towers is a new game mode that features both PvE and PvP gameplay. Clans will compete to claim ownership of towers, thereby providing powerful bonuses to all Clan members and the opportunity to acquire new Cursed Items. Players must be in a Clan to participate in Accursed Towers.
The description below of Accursed Towers is only a bird’s eye view of the game mode. We plan to provide additional details via in-game mail after the maintenance period that will help Clan Leaders make the most of Accursed Towers. There are also in-game tutorials that can help quickly get you up to speed on this new feature. To access those, click or tap the “i” icons in the Accursed Towers menu.
      How to Claim Towers

Each Clan may have up to 2 towers under their control per Season. At the end of each eight-week Season, the ownership of all towers will be reset.
At the start of a Season, players will see many towers on the map to select from, all of which will be Unclaimed Towers. During the first week of a Season, from Monday, 3 a.m.–Saturday 7 p.m. server time, your Clan’s leader can select a tower through the Accursed Tower’s menu and attempt to claim it for your Clan, plunging your Clan into a PvE match against Hell’s minions for control of the tower by Purifying it. Only 1 tower can be claimed per Clan during the first week of the Season.

While fighting demonic hordes for control of the tower, your Clan’s objective is to collect Cursed Shards from slain demons. However, players can’t simply attack enemies as they normally would. To deal damage to your foes, first you’ll need to locate and activate the tower’s Curse Sources. Doing so will make enemies vulnerable, allowing you to dispatch them and collect their Cursed Shards. Once the timer runs out, the top 10 Clan members with the highest Cursed Shard amounts will have them added to your team’s total. A Clan can choose to do as many runs to collect Cursed Shards at the same tower as they desire, but only the highest team total will be retained. If your Clan has collected the most Cursed Shards among all Clans vying for that specific tower by Saturday at 7 p.m. server time, then your Clan will claim the tower.

Claiming a tower is cause for celebration within your Clan, but now you must defend it. Hell’s minions will attempt to retake their stolen home. Once your Corruption meter reaches a certain amount, demonic incursions will follow. Members of your Clan must come to defend your tower promptly or else it will be lost and can be reclaimed by another Clan.

There is a way to ward off Hell’s mindless marauders, though: by powering up your tower. Within the Accursed Tower’s menu, your Clan leader can choose to power up your tower. Doing so will not only end the attacks on it from demons but increase the bonuses provided by your tower and periodic rewards provided by the Rewards Chest inside of it. Beware, as powering up your tower does come at a cost—other Clans will be able to challenge your clan to a PvP match for control of the tower.
      Contesting a Tower Through PvP

The rewards gained from towers sound desirable, right? The other Clans on your Server will certainly think so. Starting the second week of a Season, Clans can have a second tower under their control. From Saturday, 9 p.m.–Sunday 12 a.m. server time, Clans will be able to attempt to challenge for tower ownership from another Clan through an all-out PvP match. Should your Clan prevail, they’ll not only leave with bragging rights and a new tower to receive periodic rewards from, but also a bevy of rewards from participating in the PvP match, which can include Cursed Items.

Because the first season of Accursed Towers begins mid-week, the schedule for the first week will differ from subsequent seasons. The gameplay itself will be as detailed above. Here’s the schedule:
March 30 after maintenance period–March 31 at 3 a.m. server time: The Clan Leader will decide which tower they would like to try to claim. March 31, 3 a.m.–April 1, 7 p.m. server time: Collect Cursed Shards at chosen tower. April 1, 7 p.m. server time: Cursed Shard Clan totals are counted and the Clan with the most at each tower claims that tower. Cursed Items

Cursed Items are a new type of Legendary Item that have a Cursed Property. They are obtainable from completing PvP matches and can also be dropped by enemies while collecting Cursed Shards from a PvE match.
Cursed Items come with both a Positive and Negative Property attached to them. Neither Property will activate unless you have at least one other Cursed Item equipped that shares the same Positive Property. If you have two or more equipped Cursed Items, you will receive both the Positive and Negative Property effects from both. Positive Properties will grow in power as you equip multiple Cursed Items with the same Positive Property, with increases occurring at 4 and 6 Items.
For example, let’s say you have Shoulders with the following Positive and Negative Properties:
Your summoning skills have a chance to release a demonic roar dealing damage to nearby enemies. Increases Cooldown of Dash skills. Then you stumble across a pair of Boots with the following Positive and Negative Properties:
Your summoning skills have a chance to release a demonic roar dealing damage to nearby enemies. Reduces Primary Attack damage. Since both items share the same Positive Property, equipping both items will provide you with their shared Positive Property but also their Negative Properties: Increases Cooldown of Dash skills and reduces Primary Attack damage.
Cursed Items act as a double-edged sword but can provide you with extremely powerful bonuses that will bolster your character’s build!

      Hero’s Journey Chapters 5 and 6
Chapter 5 and 6 of Hero’s Journey have unlocked! To continue walking the path to glory in Chapter 5, you must have completed chapters 1-4. Here’s a look at the rewards you will receive for completing these new Chapters.
      Chapter 5:

Boundary Walker Portal Cosmetic 1 Legendary Crest 900 Hilts 36 Aspirant’s Key Hilts Vendor
The Hilts Vendor has just increased their inventory! The following two transactions may be performed up to 15 times a week each:
Trading 100 Hiltsfor 50 Scrap Materials Trading 75 Hilts for 5 Enchanted Dust Activity Calendar and Scheduler
We are introducing some quality-of-life improvements that will make using the Activities Calendar and Scheduler more convenient.
The tap area in the Warbands and Clan menus has been increased. Activities that occur “today” or “tomorrow” will state that instead of the numerical date. Navigation Menu
The Navigation menu also received a few quality-of-life improvements to work in tandem with the Clan-centric features released in this Major Update.
A new Clan tab has been added to the Navigation menu. Both the new Accursed Tower game mode and Clan-related features that were previously found located in the Faction tab can be found in the new Clan tab. The Quest tab will be removed from the Navigation menu. Quests can still be accessed via the Quest Tracker. These changes are solely for the UI and do not alter the gameplay of the features they support.
      New Bestiary Entries
We're adding 20 new Horadric Bestiary entries to catalogue enemies fought in Stormpoint and new Helliquary bosses. They're available wherever you slaughter monsters! After a player collects 10 Bestiary entries, they’ll receive a Rare Crest. Players will also receive a Legendary Crest after collecting 50 and 100 Bestiary Entries.
      Clan and Cycle of Strife

Finding, joining, and recruiting for a Clan will now be more accessible than ever. As Clans become more critical in the continual struggle to control towers around Sanctuary, we want to arm both players and Clan Leaders with more means to find like-minded individuals. As such, we have made some improvements:
When players search for available Clans to join, they will be sorted from highest to lowest on the list according to their current number of Online Players. Players without a Clan will receive more guidance on joining a clan and more easily see suggestions for Clans containing a high number of active players. Players currently in a Clan can now apply to a new Clan without leaving their current Clan. If accepted to the new Clan, they will automatically leave the old one and join the new one. Clan Leaders will now have a Member Recruitment interface available under the Clan tab, making it easier for them to find both players without a clan and in clans with low membership. Dark Clan Leaders can now directly invite Adventurers to join them. If an Adventurer accepts, they will automatically become a Shadow. Hide Helmet Cosmetic Option

We hope your character has recently visited the Westmarch Barber for a touch up, because you can now hide their helmet for select Cosmetic Sets. To hide your character’s helmet for eligible Cosmetic Sets, navigate to the Cosmetics menu and click the Hide Helmet button on the bottom left corner of the Cosmetic preview screen.

A third wave of Server Merges are coming to Diablo Immortal on February 22. This wave will focus on our servers in the East Asia and Southeast Asia regions, improving the ability for players in these regions to Party up with others regardless of the server they play on. Know that we will continue to monitor player populations across all servers and merge additional servers as needed. Here’s a complete list of all servers that will merge in wave three:

      Gillian
For more information on how Server Merge works, please see our previous blog where we announced the first wave of Server Merges.
Also on February 22, we’ll be making some adjustments to Normal Gems. These gems will receive an additional attribute which modifies the base stats of the item they’re socketed into. This change will ultimately provide more uses for Normal Gems; therefore, to maintain the integrity of Wynton’s Grand Market, all Normal Gems will be removed from the market on February 22 during the server maintenance period. All current rules for listing Normal Gems in the market will remain unchanged and these gems can be relisted in the market once the server maintenance period ends. Additionally, we’ll be modifying Hidden Lairs to provide players with additional ways to obtain tradeable gems.
Before delving further into this Content Update, let’s take a moment to welcome Turkish speakers to Diablo Immortal! After the server maintenance, players can now slay demons across Sanctuary with in-game text-based Turkish language support.
As with previous Content Updates, there will be server maintenance starting on February 7, from 4 p.m.–6 p.m. PST for Oceania, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe Servers, and on February 8, from 12 a.m.–2 a.m. PST for servers in the Americas. After the maintenance has concluded, all items mentioned below will be live—specific dates for any content going live afterward are provided below.

      Feature Updates
      Additional Stash Tabs
The ability for players to have additional storage tabs in their Stash is one of our most requested feature updates. Now, players can unlock up to two additional Stash tabs from within the Stash menu for their character.
The first Stash tab can be permanently unlocked for 2,000 Platinum.
The second Stash tab can be unlocked while you have an active Boon of Plenty and will only provide additional storage space during this duration. If your Boon of Plenty expires, any items stored within this Stash tab will remain there until you withdraw them. Additional items cannot be stored in this Stash tab unless you have an active Boon of Plenty.
      Adjustments to Boss Invulnerable Phrases
In our previous Content Update, we made a change that removed the invulnerability phases between killing Segithis’ Left and Right Legs. In this Content Update, we are removing or shortening the invulnerability phase duration from many boss encounters, such as the Ancient Nightmare and Glacial Colossus fights. Going forward, we will continue to evaluate the player’s experience in boss encounters and will make additional adjustments as needed.
      Path of Blood Rewards
Several improvements have been made to the Path of Blood system:
Upon completion of a floor, players will now receive gold, experience, and items as a reward. You may now skip directly to the nearest boss floor to your current floor, such as Floor 10 if you have completed Floor 7. If you complete that boss floor, you’ll receive credit and rewards for all skipped floors, the boss floor, and will receive the option to skip directly to the next boss floor. Hell Difficulty Notification
Even in a place like Sanctuary, reaching a new Hell Difficulty level calls for celebration. Now, when a player unlocks a new Hell Difficulty level, a congratulations screen detailing the new features available to them will pop up.
      Auto-Follow Party Member
By clicking or tapping on a member of their Party, players can now automatically follow that player. Any movement or combat that you manually initiate or being attacked by a monster will interrupt auto-following.
      Player Profile Display
If a player is part of a Warband, their Warband’s name can be seen in the Player Profile menu.
      Combat Rating Visibility
Combat Rating is an integral aspect of Diablo Immortal. To aid players in easily accessing their Combat Rating, we have moved this statistic to a higher location within the Attributes interface.
      Bounty Rewards Increase
Any bounty that previously provided 1.2x rewards will now provide 5x rewards.

The stars are eyes that do not blink for thousands of years. They see all, poring over each being’s soul like pages in a tome. Stars evoke a sense of wonder, serve as a source of light, and can even guide us through confounding places such as the void beyond our understanding.

A new method of Essence Extraction has been discovered! You can enhance your Legendary Attributes to increase their power by extracting the same essences multiple times. Legendary equipment can no longer be salvaged at the Blacksmith, and instead must be extracted. Essence Extraction still provides players with the same Upgrade Materials they would get from salvaging, but now, as you find duplicate Legendary equipment, your overall power will increase too.
When you find a new Legendary item, your first extraction will pull out the Legendary Essence and store it for you to inherit later, as it always has. Further extractions will grant you Essence Energy to increase your Essence Mastery level—however, extracting Essence Energy from a particular Legendary item will become more difficult with each Essence Energy you obtain from it, and eventually you will no longer be able to extract the energy from that Legendary item.
Additionally, you will now receive Upgrade Materials on the first extraction for every Legendary Essence and no longer must choose between gaining a Legendary Essence or Upgrade Materials.
As your Essence Mastery level increases, it will further enhance the power of all your Legendary Attributes. Some skills will receive damage bonuses, while others might receive cooldown reduction, or other effects. You can always view your current power and what bonuses you will get at the next Essence Mastery level at Zamina, the Essence Transfer NPC in Westmarch.
      Dungeon Set Item Drops
All Dungeons will now drop a guaranteed Set Item after many Dungeon completions in a row that did not result in a Set Item being dropped. Dungeons boosted by the Codex have a lower threshold before a guaranteed Set Item is dropped.
      Cross-Server Dungeons
When a player is trying to find a Party for a Dungeon, if the Party Finder fails to find other players to join, it will search other Servers to fill the Party. Players can also invite players from other Servers to join the Party.
      Immortal System Improvements
Immortals will now receive more information about the Shadows when alerted to Defend the Vault. Immortal Parties in the queue will see the Shadow Party that has queued to defend against them, along with the relative strength of the Shadow Party versus their Party. The Party Leader of the Immortal group will then be able to decide to either accept defending against the Shadow Party or pass, which will give another Immortal Party in the queue the opportunity to defend.
Immortal Party leaders can also automatically pass all Shadow Parties that are relatively stronger than their Party by enabling a new button in the Defend the Vault interface.
      Rejoining the Shadows Faction
We are making the experience of rejoining the Shadows after a new Cycle of Strife begins easier. The lottery system has been replaced with a first-come, first-served system. An Adventurer who successfully signs up during one of the three daily recruitment periods beginning at 1:00, 7:00, and 10:00 p.m. server time can instantly embark on the trial to become a Shadow.
To join the Shadows faction, speak with the Mysterious Patron located in Westmarch’s Wolf City Tavern during the above-mentioned recruitment periods.
      Treasure Hunter Paragon Tree
The Treasure Hunter Paragon Tree has been updated to remove the restriction of outdoor areas from the Treasure Find, Gold Find, and Lucky specialization skills.
      Battleground End of Season Ceremony
When a Battleground season ends, players will now receive a summary of their previous Battleground season the first time they talk to the Battleground Captain.
      Converting Adventurer Clan
Converting an Adventurer Clan to a Dark Clan will now only cost five Akeba’s Signets.
      New Resonance Wings
Two new sets of Resonance Wings have been added at the Resonance milestones of 2,000 and 4,000.

      Fractured Plane Limited-Time Event

In a place like Sanctuary, even those with the utmost mental fortitude can find themselves lost to the unrelenting darkness spread by the Burning Hells. Broken. Shattered. Trapped in the deepest recesses of their mind—entering the Fractured Plane is the only way forward.
The Fractured Plane is a limited-time event where players enter an unexplored realm of their existence. A 15-floor gauntlet, inhabited by the fiercest minions the Hells can throw your way awaits. Your journey in the Fractured Plane begins without your usual gear, gems, and skills. Instead, you will be provided with a set of pre-selected skills for your class. To advance, you must rely solely on your wits, unstable gear you find, and the Chaos Coins you receive from progressing through hordes of demons. Best of all, only unstable gear of Legendary rarity will drop in the Fractured Plane, and items you receive will complement the skills you begin with, equipping you with the ability to make, and tweak, your build on the fly. When your journey in the Fractured Plane is over, all the unstable gear you’ve collected will vanish.
The Chaos Coins you earn will also come to your aid—spent at the Chaos Broker, you can exchange Chaos Coins for new items or Shards of Fortune. These shards will increase your Fortune Rating, providing a greater chance of receiving higher-quality Legendary items from chests on each floor. If you’re resourceful enough to make it to the fifteenth floor without dying more than five times, you’ll receive a reward. Out of all the Legendary items you’ve encountered during your run, select six, and out of those six, you will be rewarded one at random for you to carry out of the Fractured Plane. This time around, you’ll also receive Tseym as a reward for your runs—turn your Tseym in at the Tong-Shi’s Renewal event menu to receive additional rewards and contribute to your Server’s progress!
Begin your journey towards mental ease soon—the Fractured Plane is available from January 16, 3:00 a.m.–February 6, 2:59 a.m. server time.

Players can complete up to three tasks a day starting February 2, 3:00 a.m.–February 6, 2:59 a.m. server time. Through completing tasks, you’ll gain Astrolabe Power—the power can be used to draw a Blessing of Magic or Blessing of Might, each with unique benefits, from the Astrolabe. Use the blessings to gain Moonslivers, which can be exchanged for lunar-laced rewards.
Visit here for more information on the Hungering Moon event’s mechanics.
