Im not tipping the truck when it comes to fights and im matching the best of them, and will joining a new raid team this week and i just dont wanna be shooting myself in the foot for no reason. could someone be kindly enough to have a look at the link below and see if theres anything i maybe scrimping on? http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/gear/eu/ghostlands/azmodai Major regards, Azmodai
Orthios 271 Report post Posted August 20, 2014 You're missing out on a lot of Int and Hit that can be reforged by gemming pure mastery in everything, not to mention socket bonuses. Outside of gearing, the best way to see if you are up to par is to jump into a flex or lfr Malkorok kill and log it for us to analyze. That will show how well you understand the rotation and allow us to point out anything that could use correcting.
Calol 5 Report post Posted August 20, 2014 First off using AMR isn't optimal. Secondly stats are the least important aspect of increasing DPS. If you want to improve we need logs preferably Warcraft logs and not worldoflogs. And third an armory link IMO would be better to check gemmimg/secondary stats better than AMR
Orthios 271 Report post Posted August 20, 2014 First off using AMR isn't optimal. Secondly stats are the least important aspect of increasing DPS. If you want to improve we need logs preferably Warcraft logs and not worldoflogs. And third an armory link IMO would be better to check gemmimg/secondary stats better than AMR Well, AMR has all the secondaries listed on the side, and has a pretty user-friendly UI. At least for viewing gear, gems, enchants, etc. As for optimizing secondaries using AMR, that takes more user input to know what stats are better and how they effect various aspects of the game. And the knowing how the weighting system works for AMR and how it influences the "optimized" build. However you want to look at viewing secondaries, he is missing out on a good deal of int (~1k). Calol 5 Report post Posted August 20, 2014 I'm looking at it on my tablet so AMR isn't the most user friendly for me
Calol 5 Report post Posted August 20, 2014 For gemmimg you are best served following AMR'S optimized choices. Just don't pay attention to the reforges unless you know your stat weights and adjust them
Zilthy 36 Report post Posted August 20, 2014 Gemming and reforging for Destruction is about as simple as it gets. Hit: 15% and as little over as possible. Mastery: As much as you can get Haste or Crit after mastery: Doesn't really matter for destruction. Aff/Demo will definitely be better off with more haste, mainly in getting to key breakpoints. Whether int/mastery or expertise/mastery the difference will be so small, it won't matter. As Calol mentioned, logs, rotation, doing the right thing matter a lot more. The whole int/mastery | expertise/mastery and hast vs crit will be about a 1% difference, not worth worrying about.
Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted August 20, 2014 Secondly stats are the least important aspect of increasing DPS. As Calol mentioned, logs, rotation, doing the right thing matter a lot more. I might cry - I'm so proud of my Warlock section! To echo these two, focus on what you're doing, not what you look like. You could have a fully BiS set list, but if you ignore the 4pc bonus or cast Chaos Bolt at silly times, you're not going to like the way you look - I guarantee it.
