Nobody said that the glyph is a damage increase.  I use it to reduce a bit of clutter in skada and WCL since it merges the stampede attacks in with my main pet's melee.

I would tend to disagree about Iron Hawk vs Spirit Bond, but to each their own.  For the normals and flex runs I do, Spirit Bond heals for more than what Iron Hawk would protect me from.  In heroics, yes, I would likely go with Iron Hawk since the damage is much greater.

 

Azor is correct here. The thing with heroic Siegecrafter is that a lot of the damage is avoidable. The only thing you're really going to get hit by is overload. If you're getting hit by superheated and the sawblades you're doing something wrong and need to get better for lack of a better way of putting it. Spirit bond will negate most of the issues with having low health coming off the belt.

What I got from Azor's guide that I took the excerpt out of was the question itself, "why is that hunters pet doing more damage than mine".

The answer given was he has the Stampede glyph and you don't.

I must be missing something because again I thought that glyph was cosmetic only and not a damage increase.

I also asked the question here previously when all pets were active during Stampede were thier individual abilities active as well.

The replied answer was no, they only do melee damage.

A separate question from the one I mentioned from Azor's guide.

I hope that cleared up any confusion.

The question is more specifically meant to say

"Why does that hunter's pet APPEAR to be doing more damage than mine?"

It is not meant to be taken literally.

 

The question is ASKED (and put in the guide) as if the asker does not know, thinking that the other guy's pet is doing more damage, while that only APPEARS to be the case because the Stampede glyph rolls the damage of every Stampede pet into the display of the main pet in Skada and WCL.
