My question, which I did ask in the general section, is in regard to socketed jewelry: I have but do not use Focus and Restraint, because my HellFire and Bul Kathos Wedding Band have better stats. By a lot. Is the benefit from the socketed Legendary Gems enough to offset a significant drop in pure stats?

Yes. F+R is a HUGE damage increase.

Red Soul Shard is rather fun, than useful. It staggers the user from time to time. And anyway CDR is needed to keep up constant Leaping which will give you 50-60%  dmg reduction permanent.

Exactly. Thanks for helping to answer :)

Hello,

How many ruby and diamond should i use for torse and pants ?

This is entirely up to you. Decide a balance based on what content you are doing and how often you struggle. Need more DPS? More rubies. Need more survivability? More diamonds.

Thank you so much for this guide, Iv'e fallen in love with the Barb once again. I've found myself using Brawler instead of Rampage as a 4th passive, as the stacks drop off too often when pushing solo. Is there a better alternative?

Rampage is excellent depending on what you are doing, basically. If you move through a rift slowly, taking time to kill elites etc., it won't serve you very well. Instead, you should be stacking mobs and, as the smaller mobs start to die, you'll notice that the elites will start melting along with them, since your damage will just be ramping higher and higher.

And it's the Toon that has the least self-control and Screams the most.

Another fair point, but I don't think we can change the official name any time soon :)

I'm curious if Deadset has revamped this for 2.5.0?  I've seen some builds that use different Bracers, Amulets and maybe another Item.  Any ideas?

Currently, no, because it is still on the PTR.

What do you means by " Life per Fury Spent " ?  I dont find it when i want enchant.

Your weapon has to roll it - you can't always enchant into it.

Yeah, sorry that I was so late with replying :) F+R will almost always be better since it ends up being a 2.25 damage multiplier due to how it works. It's a huge boost.

Anyway, glad that it all worked out for you :)

Great guide! Got me up to GR77 without much hassle (using Skular's instead of APD, just need more dodging from time to time). One thing bothers me, though. Does this build make good use of area damage? I see %damage on Blade of the Tribes isn't listed as preffered stat, but neither is AD. My survivability is fine (life per fury on belt and regen on boots) and I wonder which would be better to have on weapon: +10% damage, or +24% Area Damage?

Augment your gear, max out Fury with paragon if you haven't already, try to get a good Hellfire. That way you can increase survivability with Nerves of Steel, or squeeze an extra punch from Boulder Toss via Animosity.

As Valhalen points out in the comments of the 2.5 Patch Notes, Seismic SlamSeismic Slam RumbleRumble now is a full fury dump, and Girdle of GiantsGirdle of Giants, in combination with this update, will likely outpace Ancient SpearAncient Spear builds in DPS, though I defer to his authority on the subject.

Also, and this is incredibly nit-picky, but when discussing Hellfire AmuletHellfire Amulet, it may be worth stating that any roll with one of your base passives is actually the ideal, as it allows you to customize whatever fifth passive you feel is appropriate for the situation.  This is obviously common sense for many players familiar to the end game, but may be worth stating clearly for anyone less familiar with optimal gearing in the endgame (especially as we approach the release of the Necromancer, and any corresponding resurgence in player population).

Very glad about this change. Always hated Ancient Spear. Seismic Slam is much more visually appealing.

As much as I prefer Seismic Slam because of its AoE and bonus damage to Earthquake, nothing looks more badass than throwing a giant rock at your enemies. In my opinion Boulder Toss looks way more cool.

I was curious about Dread Iron, which is still listed as Best in Slot.  Shouldn't the Girdle of Giants be Best in Slot?

And are the Bracers of Destruction, if not BIS, still viable too?

And Big Kudos to DeadSet!!!

(Sorry... I messed this post up by trying to "fix" it).

I guess it's just an error.

I'm playing this build in hardcore mode, where everyone plays war cry instead of war of the berserker, allowing you to get more fury and leap more.

Also in lot of builds i see the recommended rune for war cry is veterans warning for 30% dodge, i guess it's for solo play, as impunity is best in a group for %all resist bonus ?

The item optimisation and enchanting you're suggesting lack some more CDR to properly leap infinitly, i'll figure out what  CDR% is needed.

Fun build anyway but it's nowhere near any wizard / demon hunter spec in terms of dps.

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

Blizzard has posted an official preview of Diablo 3's upcoming Season 34 that starts on January 24!
The ongoing Season 33 ends on January 19. Season 34 reintroduces the Light's Calling Season theme, which means players can obtain Angelic Crucibles, consumables that may be used to Sanctify any Legendary item, infusing it randomly with one of three new class-specific powers. Cosmetic rewards for the patch are as follows:
Completing the Season 34 Guarian journey grants the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.
Haedrig's Gift will award you with the following sets in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival For more information about Season 34, check out the official blog post below.

Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 34: Light’s Calling. Starting on January 24 at 5 p.m. PST/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Light’s Calling theme, which first debuted with Season 27. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 33 will officially come to an end on January 19.
      Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Season Theme
Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendor, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.

      Season Cosmetic Rewards
In Season 34, awards originally available from Season 10 are returning. In addition to the Head and Shoulder slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Black Soulstone themed portraits and the scholarly Loremaster pennant first introduced in Season 10.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic ones for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth alongside the Shades of the Nephalem and complete the Season 34 Guardian Journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five:
Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete two Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at level 70 in under 15 seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top
      Seasonal Conquest
Seasonal Conquests are additional goals you can complete as part of our Season Journey. To earn all the cosmetic rewards, you'll need to complete at least three of the Conquests below. The challenges available in Season 34 include:
Sprinter and Speed Racer task you with completing Acts I through V at max level in under one hour. Want to go fast while killing things? Boss Mode and Worlds Apart are right up your alley. On A Good Day and I Can’t Stop are making a return, if leveling your Legendary Gems is more your thing. Finally, if you’re keen to prove your mastery of various Class Sets, Years of War and Dynasty will be returning along with Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets. Best of luck! Return to Top
      Haedrig’s Gift

Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works.
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival Return to Top

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
      Season End (Source)
Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.
