Classes

  • Death Knight
    • Frost
      • [With realm restarts] All ability damage reduced by 3%.
  • Druid
    • Balance
      • Denizen of the Dream Denizen of the Dream's trigger rate was unintentionally increased. It has been restored to its intended value.
    • Restoration
      • Fixed an issue that caused Forest's Flow Forest's Flow to not properly extend heal over time effects on allies.
  • Evoker
    • Fixed an issue where empower spells could fail to auto-fire at Rank 1 when released prior to that point.
    • Fixed an issue preventing Oppressing Roar Oppressing Roar's cooldown from being reduced when dispelling Enrage effects with the Overawe Overawe talent.
  • Hunter
    • Beast Mastery
    • Marksmanship
      • [With realm restarts] All ability and pet damage reduced by 4%.
    • Survival
      • [With realm restarts] Mongoose Bite Mongoose Bite damage reduced by 10%. This does not affect PvP combat.
  • Paladin
    • Retribution
      • Fixed an issue that caused Fading Light Fading Light's value to be higher than intended for Retribution Paladins.
  • Warlock
    • Developers’ note: We’re modifying the output of Grimoire of Sacrifice to bring it in line with the output of Warlock demons. At the end of the day Warlock is a pet-centric class and while we want there to be an option to opt-out of your pet, we don’t want it to always be the clear answer.
    • [With realm restarts] Wrathful Minion Wrathful Minion now increases the damage of Grimoire of Sacrifice Grimoire of Sacrifice by 10% (was 15%).
    • [With realm restarts] Demonic Inspiration now increases the damage of Grimoire of Sacrifice Grimoire of Sacrifice by 10% (was 15%).
    • [With realm restarts] Grimoire of Sacrifice Grimoire of Sacrifice damage reduced by 15%.
    • Affliction
      • Developers’ note: With the removal of less impactful talents in both their class and specialization trees, Affliction received a lot of additional damage options that have increased their damage beyond what was intended. We’re making these adjustments to bring them in line with other damage dealers.
      • [With realm restarts] Damage done by spells and abilities reduced by 2%.
      • [With realm restarts] Darkglare damage reduced by 20%.
    • Demonology
      • Developers’ note: We’re targeting Demonology’s multi-target profile with these adjustments to bring them closer to other damage dealers. We will continue to watch both single-target and multi-target performance, along with the output of new talents and adjustments delivered in 10.0.7, and make further adjustments down the road if needed.
      • [With realm restarts] Demonic Strength Demonic Strength now increases the damage of Felstorm Felstorm by 300% (was 400%). This does not affect PvP combat.
      • [With realm restarts] Dreadbite Dreadbite damage reduced by 10%. This does not affect PvP combat.

Dungeons and Raids

  • Temple of the Jade Serpent
    • Wise Mari
      • Freezing Ice Stone (Primordial Stone) triggers no longer disrupt the direction of Wash Away casts.
  • Zul'Gurub
    • The Archaeology skill requirement for the Cache of Madness event has been reduced to 1 (was 225).
    • Brazier of Madness, Shattered Hakkari Bijou, and Fragmented Hakkari Bijou no longer have a level requirement.
    • Warblades of the Hakkari, Reborn are now bind on account (was bind on pickup) to allow anyone to acquire the appearances regardless of who their blacksmith is.
    • Fixed an issue that allowed the Brazier of Madness to be lootable prior to completing Relics of a Fallen Empire.
  • Zul'Aman
    • Fixed an issue that allowed Bijous and Coins to drop in the instance.

Enemies and NPCs

  • Fael'lin
    • Hellfire Walls will now correctly display the cast bar.
    • Living Fuse will no longer target player's pets.

Items and Rewards

  • Fixed an issue where Primordial Stones were pulling enemies that you were not in combat with.

Player versus Player

  • Paladin
    • [Live March 24] Crusader’s Reprieve healing reduced by 50% in PvP combat.
    • Protection
      • [Live March 24] Judgment of Light healing reduced by 35% for Protection Paladins in PvP combat.
    • Retribution
      • Developers’ note: Retribution Paladins have been heavily overperforming in PvP with their recent 10.0.7 changes. We’re primarily targeting their burst damage, passive survivability, and PvP talents that we feel are contributing too much overall damage.
      • [Live March 24] Judgment of Light healing reduced by 35% for Retribution Paladins in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Inquisitor’s Ire effectiveness reduced by 40% in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Fading Light effectiveness reduced by 50% for Retribution Paladins in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Justicar’s Vengeance now deals 15% additional damage to stunned targets in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Justicar’s Vengeance healing reduced by 50% in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Blessing of Dawn effectiveness reduced by 25% for Retribution Paladins in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Divine Arbiter direct damage reduced by 25% in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Vanguard of Justice effectiveness reduced by 25% in PvP combat.
      • [Live March 24] Empyrean Legacy increases the damage of Divine Storm by 15% in PvP combat (was 25%).
      • [Live March 24] Luminescence (PvP Talent) now increases damage and healing by 2% (was 4%).
      • [Live March 24] Lawbringer (PvP Talent) now deals 2% of maximum health (was 4%).
      • [Live March 24] Fixed an issue that caused Avenging Wrath’s 75% PvP multiplier to not function for Retribution Paladins.
  • Shaman
    • Precognition will no longer be activated when players are successfully interrupted while affected by Tranquil Air Totem.

Quests

  • "Brew for the Ages" should now correctly point to the Zskera Vault door to find the recipe pages, in case you have not unlocked that vault door yet.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

  • Fixed an issue where Val'anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings was absorbing more than intended. Accumulated absorb amounts are now correctly capped at 20,000 health.
    • Developers' note: The absorb shield from Val'anyr was always intended to have a cap of 20,000 health, but there was a typo in the spell script in original Wrath of the Lich King version 3.3.5. The script was set the absorb amount to 200,000! This was never noticed by players in original Wrath.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
