Boltt 28 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) I haven't played on beta, I'm also not aware of the current state of dps on beta and would not bother to check on it because numbers are changed constantly until release. I'll give you the fluff answer which is play whichever you find more fun or think will be more fun. I like to think any class is viable for progression raiding, it's down to the skill of the player. The only time this would matter is if you're worried about world first progression, in which case i'm not someone who can give advice to a player that good. Fouton 266 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 I agree with Boltt, though for the sake of actual argument of paladin vs warrior, Warrior has 3 different specs that can all be DPS, where paladins have 1. It's far more likely you'll get a better spec out of playing a warrior than a paladin. Only issue is that you'll never get to heal!
Lothrandir 12 Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Fully agree with already submitted comments. One thing I will say tho (and this is coming from someone who's enjoyed playing ret as well) is that ret sometimes feels slow at the beginning of an expansion. This was especially true at the launch of MoP cause of the heavy bias towards haste. No idea, if this is also the case with WoD, since I'm one of those I'll-see-it-when-it's-good-and-ready kind of guys. Otoh, warriors probably felt much the same just with a dependence on crit instead ...
Hurtzdontit 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2014 I agree with what the others have said about play something that you will enjoy because it makes the whole experiance worth while. Now this is just my opinion, but I my self have both pally and fury warrior. Now the pally right now is in limbo with all the changes being made and there is some confustion ( meaning my self ) about the stats and how to set up the pally correctly. As for the warrior the class feels very empty and stripped to the core. They are alot of fun to play it just feels like something is just not there, but keep in mind we are only a week into the pre patch to WoD and I am sure there are going to be some more changes along the way. I just thought that maybe giving you my open minded approach to allt he changes could give you some kind of idea on where you want to go. Like I said above this is just my open minded opinion about both classes. I will say this I am excited about what both classes are going and hoping that it just stays as enjoyable as they always have.
