I just love Rob Ryan's expressions and take advantage of his "FUCK YEA" gif whenever possible.  His disappointment one looks like he was just told Christmas was cancelled - it's legit sadness.

If you have 30 second - 120 second kill times like my guild does, Aff with GoServ is the way to go!

Otherwise, demo/destro are fairly even.

How are Demo and Destro even? A heroic geared destro ALT outdpsed me, a nearly bis demolock, on mythic garrosh. Also, everyone in my guild is raving about how OP destro is right now and they all want me to go back to playing it instead of Demo, but I really like demo :(

Do you have logs?

Everything depends on fight length and how good you are at gaming the system. This prepatch crap has ZERO resemblance to real raiding.

Right now the best DPS for high end mythic is an Aff lock with GoServ. This is ONLY because the fight lengths are very short and the burst from an Aff lock is crazy.

On a multi phase fight like Garrosh you need to game the AoE a bit and use Doom on everything that moves for imps and extra, although mostly non effective, damage.

The nerf to demo wasn't a huge nerf, only about 12% over all. But it does make you play differently because the bug double nerf to Soul Fire.

Unfortunately, I don't have logs. I should have taken some. Second, it still takes my guild 3-7 minutes to kill most farm bosses, so our fights are anything but short. Third, the adds in our group on garrosh die within a few seconds, doesn't doom take 15 seconds to tick? Lastly, do you have any general playstyle tips for demonology while we're still 90?

Player ability comes into play here.  Not every Warlock is made equal.  If you're underperforming, they have every right to ask you to switch.  If you were playing optimally, there wouldn't be a whole lot of difference between your parse and the Destruction Warlock's parse.

Yup and yup.  Logs will identify a larger issue than "Destruction seems to be better than Demonology."  Also, trying to gauge anything at this point is pointless as Locky mentions this is not what raiding at 100 will feel like.

You should always run logs - at least 1 of your 20 members.  If you're not, you have no way to identify mistakes, opportunities, or evaluate players.  Some guilds like to keep rosters stable, but these are the types of guilds that start to falter when they hit a wall.  By constantly evaluating players, you keep them on their toes, always improving, and make sure they know their spots are competitive.  If your repeat kills of Mythic are taking 3-7 minutes, it sounds like running logs would identify a plethora of issues your DPS are having.  Locky wasn't talking about the Orc adds coming out - he meant the Desecrated Weapons, but this only applies if you move out of them and don't just DPS them down.  There has been ZERO changes to Demonology in terms of playstyle from 5.4 to 6.0, so all general tips from 5.4 are applicable right now.  The only small note is that Soul Fire shouldn't be used in Metamorphosis.

What Zag said, also I use Chaos Wave for the adds in phase 1, HoG takes to long to do max damage but a double pimp hand of Chaos Wave puts me nicely at the top of the charts. And I save Fel Guard spin to win for it.

Other then that, I do everything the same.

As mentioned, it is definitely not the spec.

Like locky, I save my HoG charges for when those first adds come in, pop two Chaos Waves, wrathstorm and profit.

They die so fast though, if someone else beats you to the punch there...  :)

The only other thing that I do differently on that fight is to make sure I have double HoG charges on Chaos Wave for MCs.  I want break them as fast as possible, especially on P3 where I do not have an interrupt using Wrathguard and Arcane Torrent no longer working there.

Ewww, world of logs?

www.warcraftlogs.com  - get it done.

My healer likes world of logs,  tongue.png

Regardless, can you still gather any information from those logs?

Not really, no. The amount of anything that can be pulled out of WoL is zero, with an error margine of zero. That's why just about no one but your healer uses it.

Can gather some information, but the time it would take to analyze your logs as easy as we can analyze Warcraftlogs is going to be greater than just waiting for you to run a new set of logs with WCL.

Also for proper logging and analyzing, you should always run your own logs.  Other peoples' logs miss things with phases, distance, etc.  It's super easy to set up on your own.
