Every Dragonflight patch adds catch-up gear for returning players and 10.1.7 will be no different!

In Fury Incarnate, you can get two types of gear from vendors.

  1. Rare Dreambound Veteran Gear (Item Level 402-424)
  2. Epic Dreambound Champion Gear (Item Level 415-437)

Rare Dreambound Veteran Gear (Item Level 402-424)

  • Purchasable from Celestine of the Harvest for Dreamsurges currency.
  • 1 token costs 100 Dreamsurge Coalescence.
    • You can get the currency from killing rare elites and completing world quests in a Dreamsurge.
  • The gear tokens are Bind to Account and you can send them to alts.

The upgrading system made a lot of the catch up great useless until these events start dropping good amount of crests and flightstones

What I like about this is that you can do it on your main and send them to your alts. We need more of that, make as much account bind as possible.

My issue remains: Timed events, FOMO-esque "Be on time or you miss it"...
DF is LITTERED with it, having a WA to track timers for DF alone covers half a screen (From top to bottom) unless you remove things, and that's before they now add more.

Can we go back to having proper content, like "You can do scenarios whenever you want"? -
Like the corruption cloak, or even BFA-scenarios, torghast to an extent except it was weekly-portals up (Which I also found dumb, now they are ALL up; should have been from start).

Can we just STOP with all these timed things?
STOP the "FOMO".
Just let people play this as a game... and have fun... not stress, not schedule it like IRL... just... do whatever casual content when they want to.

Then, maybe someone will argue that said content is not "casual" content BECAUSE it is timed; then there's nothing to do for none-extreme pushers. There is no content to speak of, tbh.

Please. Just let us play the game when WE have time to.

EDIT:
Another "Argument" for why they keep it timed is because certain someones will farm it like they did with Artifact Power...
Just... stop balancing / making the game around those kinds of people... 😕

Considering that my 80 year old dad probably can never Raid cuz his hands are too slow, the crests/flightstones is... i dunno, it's a fair question, maybe we can go farm Expedition Scout Packs for him.

Unless they start dropping Wyrm Crests though an awful lot of people are hitting a glass ceiling at 424 and it's solid as a rock.

So on 05/09/23 the patch will be release, nice!😃

I assume you're using int'l date and that's supposed to read 5 september 2023.

The idea that the time rifts have gotten so out-of-claw that such a vivid patch is dropping almost 3 months ago is giving me warm fuzzies, idk why 💕‼️

Having verbally split their world into two types of players, I'm not entirely sure that Blizz thinks people like you and I and a couple of my pals - non-extreme players who would like to push content at our own slower pace - exist.

I play in this with about 85% of my free time (I also have a clicky game on my phone for when the rest of the world has been so wild even pet battles in WoW might sap me flat).  That's essentially never enough to do all the "do a lot of fun dungeon stuff, get a bunch of raider loot" on a couple or three characters;  the whim of which character I feel best at today is also something there.

gosh that's a heavy mouthful.   What word can I possibly use for this class of player style.

Can't use "hardcore casual", I mean, it sounds interesting, but hardcore is a term of art meaning "when we say yolo you mean it!  if he dies he dies dead" and man o man do I respect those people.   If they brought that to retail I might even try to play it, but ummmmm i'll let the classic players beta/gamma test that out first.

Possibly "Retired To Azeroth".  I mean, that's what my parents did.   Nah.  I know a few retirees who are push raiders of the sort they're really serving.

Whatever word would go here, we're a bunch of people who are incidental heroes and drive ourselves crazy doing good in the world, it's just that the world is Azeroth.  And then we pop back out again and are refreshed in our lives.

There is no content to speak of, tbh.

Now on this part I will actively and vividly disagree.

There is tons of content;  every past xpac too;  what we have is

  1. that every thread of quest*(footnote) is so soaked, so trapped in "its own expansion" we never see anything ever again of its content ten seconds after we level past it
  2. gosh, "level past it" seems to be increasing every week
  3. old reputations, friendships, and freaktons of coinage aren't of any value in the current xpac or in fact any other land
  4. Storyline.  Story is king, in Pandaria or in Legion content they were best IMO, but Northrend had good flavor in nooks and crannies,  IMO even classic did (and in at least one case I really rly miss it.  Can we have the Ashenvale evil warlock questline back please).   What we don't have is any incentive to complete questlines like this when our quest cap is 35.
  5. why is quest count capped at all?  if it's a database issue can we have a quest count per xpac, and an extra one for "campaign", and an extra one for "daily/weekly", and an extra one for "profession" ?  (yes, I suspect it's possible to get near cap on profession quests alone)

...so much content, it hurts the brain to try to look at all of it at once.

...so much content, half the lifetime of WoW ago, someone drew a bloody line in the sand that all the old content recipes weren't allowed to cross.  So there's no incentive.

The content is there, crying in its misty corners to be visited, and maybe loved.

* footnote:  expect the very late SL "return to lordaeron".  I want more of that "reasons to go places" questline

From your mouth to Blizz's marketing-advisor ears.

I just suspect the hard road to code meets... the unwelcome advisor.

Reading my own words back makes me realize I was rambling a bit.
I think my thought process was, if you remove all the timed events - Dragonflight has no proper content to speak of.
Does that make sense? Im not sure but I hope you get my line of thought at least, the thread I am trying to hold on to! ^^

I agree, 100%, with your points of the old content being there, there is so much POTENTIAL!!!

And I prefer the term "Old Hardcore, Now Casual with a Hardcore Brain" - to describe myself.
I do not REALLY push myself, but I also do - at the same time... I do make sure I get KSM, I also do 20+ mythics for portals --- but not ALL of them anymore this expansion so far -- I have instead "cherry picked" a few as "key points" of interest once DF is over, as I have all previous teleports from M+ too and hardly ever use them (Unless they make comebacks in the M+ roster-rotation!)
I use a feeeeeeewwww m+ portals, oldies, for convinience when I am going to "farm" something. Like old MoP to kill a rare for mount drop or so.
I've just realised; I do not NEED to catch them all... it can be nice to collect, but I don't NEED them. So I stopped pushing once I stopped regurarly playing with my friendos in high keys.
They still play 24+, but I have "retired" when I got with my BF, I just don't play enough to "Keep up" with them now.
So when I do go for a 20, it's with pugs.. and ... we all know how pugs can be XD
I also make sure to make new friends, ofc, but I am terribly introvert sometimes and just don't poke my friends to ask to do m+... it's weird. An issue I am aware I have, but no real solution to fix yet.

But yeah, I WISH they just "slowed down", like they insisted on hammering into us in MoP.
I - LOVED - MoP scenarios. I was weird for it, I guess, but I loved them.
I have the Heroic-scenario quest that gives chest-loot on some toons (If you MoP-level, you can get them still), and I just keep them there to share for future.
Its sad when they remove options like that...

I am so very happy the islands in BFA are kept, same with Torghast etc, for us to still do at our own time.
Just wish - wholeheartedly - that they stopped making schedules for us.. 😞
We're weird, I guess... but I suspect we're more than we think, who feel this way.

Many hugs to you!

I'd love to be able to acquire "all the portals everywhere" and I'm vicariously enjoying that you're someone who has managed to get 'em like that.

Best I can do is consider the battlepetDungeon portals, because this pesky real world keeps distracting me.

My running crowd loved them because we often couldn't get 5 together, but we could get 3.

Maybe they'll add such things back in someday.

We can't and shouldn't be THAT weird, our money's as money as the next guy over.

I just don't know who to get through to at ActiBlizz to convince anyone to ditch the polarity of attitude that translates as bleed-all-over-the-bleeding-edge or wander-around-lalala.   Not all who wander are lost.

I am happy for this too.  I've got a guildie who never was up to the hype and speed run attitude for it when it was fresh content;  but now that she can outlevel it and she's pushing for Loremaster Everywhere, she's actually kind of enjoying it.  And this is considering there's no loremaster to be found IN either of them.

Aww, thanks.   See you in game!

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

How to Get the Spirit of Eche'ro Mount
      1. Download MapCoords or some other add-os that displays coordinates in the game.
      2. Teleport to Azsuna from the Stormwind/Orgrimmar Portal Room or use your Dalaran Hearthstone to reach Dalaran (Legion) if you have one in your inventory.
      3. Seek out Archaeology Trainer Dariness the Learned in Dalaran at 41,26 and learn Archaeology if you already haven't.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
