Maboc 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 Why is there a emphesis on crit for all specs? It seems odd that there are not huge changes, mastery for ass is the same. Why would combat need less haste? These things don;t make sense to me. Help me understand this please.
Falcifer 7 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 For rogues, and I also assume for other classes' main stat, agility doesn't provide any additional crit. Before 6.0 having lots of agility meant that we'd also be gaining some crit, and having some already meant that it wasn't quite as high up on the priority list as haste and mastery, which you don't get from all the agility you're stacking. Now that agility doesn't give crit, we have much less than we would before. Haste and mastery still provide benefits, but the number-crunching shows that the benefits from crit outweigh those (generally speaking).

drezlokk 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2014 you must keep in mind that as of right now multistrike is only available on one item (trinkets) and versatility is yet to be on gear so the stat weight of these can not be weighed. and as i've said in my previous post https://www.icy-veins.com/forums/topic/7430-gems-and-enchant-suggested-on-icy-veins/ the gem and enchants suggested by icy-veins are based on overall gear levels at different gear levels different stats begin to benifit you more.... i suggest first waiting untill WoD and level 100 untill taking to heart any stat weights and using a tool like shadowcraft (there is a link in my post on gems and enchants suggested by icy-veins) as of right now data crunching comes from mostly beta realms where things tend to change once everything is live so keeping them up to date is difficult to say the least... but as was said previously as they have changed the way agility affects other stats these stats are going to become more important to us as rogues...(and other classes) especially crit. in short untill WoD is unleashed and real data is accumulated from live realms most of this information is little more than hasty educated guesses.. so please wait level to 100 come back regem and see where you're at... and btw if you disagree with the stat weight you have the ability to change it in "mr. robot" as well as shadowcraft so please feel free to do so and see what numbers you yourself come up with... again you have to bear in mind the play style of each spec... assassination and subt are all about timing finishing moves to benifit from certain buffs while combat is all about button mashing and blowing cd's as soon as possible... there is a lot more to maximizing dps then just putting the right gem in the right socket or the right enchant on....
