Mephisto 2 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 I'am trying for the dragon mount in ICC by doing all the achievements but am stuck on three I hope someone can help me with. I'am an ele shaman with a low ilevel of 515 but can do the raid easy enough on normal and heroic so dps isn't the problem. Where I'am stuck : Lady Deathwhisper, I've gone in there without touching a single mob and just downed her but no achieve. It saids I have to leave one of each mob up, I've done that but nothing. So then I tried removing one side of the room and then the boss, nothing again. What am I doing wrong? Next one is the boss after the council where you have to get bitten and not get bitten. Bitten was easy, is not getting bitten just a dps race to get her down quick enough? Lastly the Lich King himself. From what I've read you need two players for the stacks. Is it possible to solo him in my spec? I haven't tried as yet because I'am not sure how to do it. Any help with these would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Stoove 347 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 Hi Mephisto, I'm afraid I don't know how to help you, but I figured there might be more people who can help in the General section, so I moved this thread over there.

At Lady Deathwhisper, you have to wait a few minutes for each kind of adds to spawn. When they have spawned, you can finish the boss and get the achievement. For getting bitten you will need another person, who can bite you. 10 normal Lich King should be okay to solo for sure, but I'm not sure about the achievement. I would personally suggest searching for the achievement's name on a wow database, where users usually comment about how they did the them.
Storm 426 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 I did the LK achievement with a tank and a healer. Tank tank's LK and all the adds that spawn, but doesn't kill anything, just keep minimal threat to keep things off the healer (this may be difficult now with the huge damage buff in ICC, if so the healer would need to stand in melee with the tank and just deal with getting aggro on some adds). cleanse/purge/dispel necrotic plagues whenever it's on the tank and let it bounce around in the group and kill the adds. watch the stacks until it's high enough for the achievement, then burn the boss. Try not to get multiple plagues in the group if you can avoid it. just the one plague will need all the adds it can get to stack high enough for the achievement. This particular achievement may be easier to do on 25m just so LK has more HP and you don't accidentally push him too fast. The only way you could possibly solo this achievement is in a healing spec. Since there is also reduction in damage taken you may not actually need a tank if you just sit there and heal yourself through everything, but you definitely need a dispel for the necrotic plague. I'm not sure how difficult or possible it would be to solo this way though. Even if the damage taken isn't an issue, you'd then be solo'ing LK in a healing spec after reaching the required plague stacks.

For the OP specifically, probably true, I don't really know much about shamans. In general, however, I have seen hunters solo this and get the achievement (on 10 man). Storm 426 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 That video is impressive. the reason it works is because the hunter pet probably doesn't get targetted by plague, and since the hunter is outside the group he'll only get targetted by fresh plagues which don't hit for much when they expire. For any class that has to stand in melee though to tank the boss and adds (which is everyone but hunters and maybe warlocks) you need to dispel the necrotic plague or it'll 1 shot even a level 90 by the time it gets to 30 stacks. Gneerox 1 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 RE: Lady Deathwhisper, just to be clear, you need to wait for each KIND of minion to spawn. This means you'll need one: - Deformed Fanatic - Reanimated Fanatic - Reanimated Adherent - Cult Fanatic - Cult Adherent You'll need to kill deformed fanatics and cult adherents to "create" reanimated fanatics and reanimated adherents. So, just waiting for all the right adds to spawn isn't going to cut it. The wowhead articles are still relevant: http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=4535/full-house-10-player http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=4611/full-house-25-player#comments

It's just rotate between the spirit beasts to keep spirit mend up as much as possible. I use 2, but it can take a few min. Don't forget though, that you can skip valithria and go straight to Sindragosa.

Aye, but if he doesn't have the "Portal Jockey" achievement, he still will need a healer for Dreamwalker.

Mephisto 2 Report post Posted October 23, 2014 Sorry for the double post but Full House on 10 player seems to be a problem. Apparently this is the hardest achieve in ICC to solo. So has anyone here solo'd it and have some advice. I have a hunter, shammy and lock to try it on..next week, locked out after 3 fails

Full house is the first one in the video.
Mephisto 2 Report post Posted October 23, 2014 I did watch the video and another one on YouTube, the problem is I read somewhere that the boss spawns the adds every sixty seconds and changes them herself into different adds. Then I read somewhere else you have to kill the adds to randomly change them. So two different stories about the same thing and the videos didn't really help clear that up. From what I can work out is you kill all the initial adds, get her bubble down to ten percent, wait for the new adds to spawn on the sides and then I'am a bit lost. I know once you have the ones you need you just burn the bubble and the boss it's just a bit grey in the middle.
Pyrogenics 4 Report post Posted October 23, 2014 I don't know if it has been stated.. but the only real way to get the once bitten, twice shy acheivement.. you need 1 other person because of how the timing of the fight works. For the bitten part.. you can solo. for the non-bitten, you need to have 1 other person with you to take the bite.. and you essentially have 1min, 28sec to beat the encounter before either your buddy is MC'd, or he bites you to save a repair bill. I managed to solo that somehow, but I assume it's b/c I killed the boss before I could get bitten (after having been bitten during the previous week). Pyrogenics 4 Report post Posted October 23, 2014 As I said, Orthios, it is a timing game. Not to detract from your from your post. On my rogue, I can't beat the timer, but on my Mage (and sometimes on my Spriest) I can. For most people though, they are cutting it really close, so most times it is just simpler to have 2 people for that, and some other acheivements. I know once you have the ones you need you just burn the bubble and the boss it's just a bit grey in the middle. I soloed this on 25man before the patch using a DKs comments on Wowhead. Kill trash adds in the room first then engage boss. Get her shield to 10%. Start kiting adds/self-healing. I killed the boss when I had about 12-15 adds on me, hoped it was right, and it was. I did not kill any adds to spawn other types, I just kited what naturally came out. Not sure why that worked but it did. I'm a warlock and sacced my pet for the fight. For achieves with adds, remove legendary cape, since it kills things you don't want to kill. For the Litch King achieve download Raid achieve and Achieve Reminder. It will make a loud sound and tell you when you have enough stacks. (Can't tell you how many times I've failed this before I got that.) Have raid chat open, because that is where it pops the go-ahead to kill boss. I did this one with a healer, so I can't give any solo advice here. Recent comments in Wowhead about soloing/duoing this with various classes help a lot. For the not Bitten achieve, I used a hunter video which was linked from the WoWhead comments. You place your demon/pet in the room, and you stand sort of in the wall -- he shows the exact position and the timing.
