Tabletop RPGs are games where people usually get together around a table and play their own character. The Game master leads the game, and the player's imagination is the only limit.

The Final Fantasy XIV TTRPG will be sold as a Starter Pack set, which will include everything players need, whether they are a beginner in the genre or an advanced Game master.

Here is a quick look at the contents of this Starter Pack set:

  • Player Book: A beginner-friendly book containing everything new players need to learn this type of role-playing.
  • Game Master Book: Tips and advice for aspiring Game masters. It also includes three premade scenarios set in the story of Final Fantasy XIV. Players can choose to follow those scenarios, or create their very own.
  • Premade Character Sheets: The starter set includes four premade full-color character sheets ready to use: Warrior, White Mage, Dragoon, and Black Mage.
  • Rules Summary & Strategy Guide
  • Dice: 6d20 & 10d6 (16 in total)
  • Encounter Map
  • Character Tokens
  • Ability Markers

The game is recommended for 3 to 5 players, and the minimum playtime for a scenario is around 120 minutes.

Final Fantasy XIV's new TTRPG is currently in development by Square Enix and is expected to launch in 2024, but it can already be pre-ordered on the official website.

This will be a great opportunity to experience the world of Eorzea in a whole new way! The TTRPG will be a perfect way for players to immerse themselves in the game's lore and culture, express creativity and personality, and have fun with friends!

If you want to know more about the game's features and other details, don't hesitate to visit the official FFXIV TTRPG page.
