Learn about the latest collaborations between FFIXV, Fall Guys, and KFC. Find out what new content and rewards await you in both games, and how to get FF14-themed meals at KFC, as well as in-game goodies!

Final Fantasy XIV, has announced two surprising collaborations: one with Fall Guys and one with KFC. These collaborations will bring new content and in-game rewards, as well as exclusive meals and merchandise to KFC customers.

Fall Guys

The FFXIV x Fall Guys collaboration was revealed earlier this year. During Tokyo game Show 2023, Naoki Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P (Producer and Director of Final Fantasy XIV), shared more details about this collaboration: a new Battle Royale mode inspired by Fall Guys, will be added to the Manderville Gold Saucer.

This new Battle Royale mode for FFXIV, which is planned to be released in the upcoming Patch 6.5x series, will feature similar gameplay elements and challenges, where players can join with friends and rivals.

The collaboration also extends to Fall Guys itself, where players can still obtain costumes, and rewards based on FFXIV characters and creatures. The Warriors of Light Fame Pass will be available until October 3, 2023.

KFC x FFXIV

This new KFC collaboration was announced shortly at the end of the Tokyo Game Show 2023 Live Letter. In a partnership with KFC, FFXIV fans living in Japan or traveling to Japan, can enjoy special meals and items inspired by the game in any KFC restaurants throughout Japan. The collaboration will begin Wednesday, October the 4th, 2023.

Some of the FFXIV-themed meals and merchandise that will be available at KFC include chicken buckets with FFXIV logos, and much more. KFC customers can also receive codes for exclusive in-game items, such as a KFC-themed emote.

Collaborations like these are a fun and unexpected addition to any fan of Final Fantasy XIV. However, it is not known if the KFC partnership will cross borders overseas and come to Europe or America in the future.

Yoshi-P revealed plans at Gamescom 2024 for more challenging content in FFXIV, including a new raid in the upcoming Dawntrail patch and hints of a 24-Man Savage Raid.
During Gamescom 2024, PCGames.com interviewed Naoki Yoshida, who revealed that he plans to make combat more difficult. Dawntrail has already experienced big improvements in that regard, with more distinct mechanics and designs, and Yoshi-P hopes to keep that momentum going in the future.
The upcoming patch of FFXIV will include the Dawntrail Alliance Raid, and Yoshi-P has also mentioned a 24-player Savage Raid! His plan is to continuously create more diverse dungeons and raids, to always challenge players with new mechanics, and to force us to develop new fighting strategies.
The upcoming alliance raid will have standard difficulty, but Yoshi-P is convinced that groups will wipe at least three times on their first run! The idea was not to make it harder, but rather to give a more engaging experience for raiders.
Not much was mentioned about the savage version, although he did suggest that the boss will be completely different. So, potentially entirely separate content? It is also possible that the savage alliance raid will be linked to a new instance similar to Bozja, which would explain the boss being different from the actual normal alliance raid.
Further details about this will be delivered soon, as both the normal Alliance raid and the savage one will release with 7.1! This patch will also welcome the new Ultimate Raid!
