What to level as? WW or Fistweaver

So I am concerned about what specc to level with (questing, mainly), 90-100!

 

I got about 560 for MW gear, and more or less 535 for WW...so far I am feeling that the MW got better sustain (obviously) and somehow better dmg output, but I am not sure at all...any ideas?

The gear level difference will only matter really early but it will depend on if you are going to want to push flat out or enjoy the content.

 

MW you will be able to heal your self easier at the trade off for lower dps and the downtime will come from mana regen and longer fights.

 

As a WW things will die faster but you may have to eat food to heal up if you are doing larger mob pulls where EH, SM and Chi wave/burst isnt enough to keep you healed up.

 

IMO go with what you enjoy playing, if you are going to do dungeons too then MW will have a faster queue time for sure.

WW, quests, MW dungeons IMO. I hate questing so anything that makes it quicker is better in my book.

Next question: as I will now use WW for the questing...I got ONE 569 1h-heirloom axe, and the 569 Polearm...from the spreadsheets there is not much difference in optimized conditions...

 

Go for 1h + quest items or stick to the polearm?

Doesnt matter,  the difference is so tiny as you mentioned.

 

For ease i would go the polearm.

you mentioned the difference being tiny meaning that at the same ilvl 2h weapons and dual wield are within a few percent dps for WW monks currently?  

 

i thought that in 5.4 it was at least 10 ilvl of difference with dw being significantly more powerful, but this is almost even now?

 

thanks for the help, retired my monk for a long time but just started picking up an interest.  i have a 575 2h or a 569 + 556 dw, based on what is being hinted at the 575 polearm will easily be the best choice for me?

To be honest it really doesn't matter. Just pick the one with the highest average item level for the weapon slots.

I know this is a late reply but I did 90 - 100 solely as a Mistweaver.  All I did was heal in dungeon after dungeon after dungeon.  I didn't do a single quest outside of Shadowmoon Valley but I started working through those quest chains after I hit silver healing challenge.
