Did the valor points disappear or did they stay in credit? I've just replaced some upgraded items with higher stat items and don't know if I can take the valor points upgrades out of the old and upgrade into the new. Valor and Justice Points were converted to Gold at a rate of 47 silver per point. You've never been able to "un-upgrade" a piece of gear, so I'm not sure what you mean there. As for how you upgrade gear now (and for the past few weeks), it costs 50 Lesser Charms of Good Fortune per upgrade, which are easily farmed from the frogs on the Timeless Isle (which is why you see so many frog farming groups in the group finder).
