Last Epoch is an action RPG that takes you on an epic journey through different epochs of a fantasy world. Learn about the game's features, launch date, and more.

Last Epoch lets you explore different timelines of its world, Eterra. Jumping through time is also one of the main features of the game. Last Epoch has been in the works since April 2019 and has received constant updates and improvements from the developers.

We at Icy Veins love ARPGs, and Last Epoch is one of our new favorites. So it should come with no surprise, that we are excited to add it to our list of games we cover. You can expect to find Last Epoch guides, news and more on Icy Veins!

The game was originally planned to launch sooner, but it was delayed to February 21, 2024. The developers said on their website that they wanted to make the game better and include some of the features that the community asked for.

Here are some of the features that will be added with the launch of 1.0:

  • Multiplayer: Join forces with other adventurers and discover the world of Eterra together.
  • Cycles: Similar to Seasons, which provide a new beginning and a new economy every few months.
  • Ladder: Challenges players to compete with others in the Arena and test their limits.
  • New Masteries: Players will have an even wider range of options to choose from, with 15 different sub-classes.
  • Visual improvements to Shadows and Lightning.
  • Scene variant system: A major system introduced for 1.0. It is basically a set of tools and shaders which allows the developers to improve the visual quality of scenes and add more variety to the game.
  • Shaman revisit: The mastery was somewhat behind the others, and the team has worked hard on reworking it for launch.
  • Endgame rebalance: Echo modifiers and Corruption have been rebalanced.

Last Epoch has a complex and rewarding gameplay system, with more than 120 skills, a crafting system, and a loot system that let you customize and replay the game endlessly. The game also has a distinctive story that spans five different epochs, from the ancient era to a distant future, where you will uncover the mysteries of the past and influence what has yet to happen.

Last Epoch has received positive reviews from both critics and players, and you can buy it on Steam or the official website for 33.99. You can also get four different supporter packs if you want to support the game further, which cost between 19.99 and 49.99, and include various items such as pets, cosmetics, gate portals, and other in-game items. Keep in mind, that buying those packs is completely optional, and they only offer cosmetic benefits, not gameplay advantages.

You can check out the latest trailer of Last Epoch below. The video shows an epic cinematic called "Eterra's Light".

If you enjoy ARPGs, you will definitely like Last Epoch, a game that offers a new and exciting experience. Moreover, Last Epoch has a captivating story, a complex gameplay system, and many features that will keep you hooked for hours.
