Last Epoch Warlock Week - Day 1: The Power of Curses

Recommended Posts

Warlock-Week1.jpg

Discover the secrets of the Warlock, the final mastery of the Acolyte base class, and find out how to use its five curses to create devastating effects on enemies.

Let's kick off Warlock Week!

Today is the first day of our week-long video series on Icy Veins and YouTube. For the next week, we will be showcasing all things Warlock-related as we wind down the month and approach the February launch. Warlock is one of two final masteries that will launch with the game release, which is going to be gracing our computers on February 21, 2024. This mastery will complete the base-class Acolyte and open up an entirely new way to play Last Epoch. Warlock is centered around five unique curses, which can be stacked together to crush your enemies.

These curses each have a unique effect against their targets, granting players the ability to focus on one or multiple curses to scale against their enemies.

Check out the brief overview of each of them below:

  • Anguish is a Curse that lasts 10 seconds, reduces damage over time dealt and deals necrotic damage to all enemies afflicted with it whenever you kill an enemy. It cannot stack.
  • Penance is a Curse that lasts 15 seconds which causes affected targets to take 20 spell fire damage when they hit another target, but it does not stack.
  • Decrepify is a Curse which deals 200 physical damage over 10 seconds with added damage applying at 100% effectiveness per second, and causes the target to take more damage from damage over time based on the caster’s missing health.
  • Acid Skin is a Curse which deals 80 poison damage over 5 seconds with added damage applying at 80% effectiveness per second, and adds a 20% chance to be critically hit.
  • Torment is a Curse which deals 120 spell necrotic damage over 3 seconds with added damage applying at 200% effectiveness per second and reduces movement by 12% (multiplicative with other modifiers), but it does not stack.

Each of these curses has additional effects that can be triggered through the passive tree and skill trees for the Warlock. We will be giving additional information regarding this throughout the week on the ActionRPG YouTube. These curses, combined with the five Warlock skills, create devastating combinations and a playstyle never seen before in Last Epoch. Check out Aaron's video below, or visit the Action RPG YouTube channel directly to see this class in action.

Check back tomorrow for Day 2 of Warlock Week here at Icy Veins, where we will break down Warlock's Passive Tree with another exclusive deep-dive video hosted by Aaron at Action RPG.
