Pre-Patch Blog Day 3: Paladin Healing Hands Changes!

Take a look at the Paladin's revamped Healing Hands ability! With the launch of Last Epoch 1.0, the skill will receive its own tree and many customization options!

Until now, Healing Hands was a basic ability in the Paladin tree, without any special focus or possibility of customization. However, Eleventh Hour Games has now created a skill tree for it to make sure it can truly support players and their teammates.

Starting February 21st, Healing Hands becomes a specialized skill with its own tree. But Paladins in Last Epoch aren't just meant to heal; So Healing Hands lets them balance both support and offense!

Healing Hands' base ability casts an AoE heal, providing instant healing and a heal-over-time effect (HoT) to the Paladin and nearby players.

It is a powerful support skills that can save you or your teammates during difficult battles; but, because it is a skill, you must press a key to use/trigger it.

If you want more of an auto-heal, you can specialize in Cleric's Hammer, which gives your Paladin a chance to trigger Healing Hands on any melee attack (with a 100% chance to trigger if you max out the points in it). This way, every melee attack you do automatically heals you and your allies. This, however, only works if your team stays close to you, as the healing effect has a limited range. This can be combined with other abilities from the Healing Hands Tree to turn your Paladin into a powerful hybrid!

Seraph Blade transforms Healing Hands into a melee attack, converting spell damage to melee damage. It offers strong healing with each hit and, according to Eleventh Hour Games, "embodies the strongest aspects of the Paladin Mastery".

Hand of Aurelus, on the other hand, specializes in ranged healing. It adds a healing area whenever you cast Smite, providing a burst of healing to Smite-focused Paladins.

The new skill tree also makes Healing Hands synergize very well with Divine Bolt, casting it each time you use Healing Hands.

For mobility, Rahyeh's Chariot turns Healing Hands into a traversal skill: Charge to a location and cast Healing Hands upon arrival. This comes with a cooldown but does not require a specific target to move.

Last but not least, Unbroken Prayer can turn your Healing Hands into a channelled ability, which you can further improve by specializing in Skyfall. This allows you to deal fire damage while healing.
