ZachT 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2014 Hello Hunters, I've just got back into World of Warcraft, after I stopped playing before Cataclysm was released. I am confused about Hunters now using focus instead of mana, and this has lead to be being confused by the beast mastery leveling guide available on this website. I am currently selecting the target, and sending out my pet to attack then casting kill command > cobra shot > arcane shot > cobra shot > arcane shot etc etc and using kill command on cooldown and kill shot when below 20% health. The part I find confusing is as to when I use cobra shot, and how often? Do I just rotate between, kill command, arcane shot and kill shot until I need more focus then fire cobra or do I literally keep pressing kill command - cobra shot - arcane shot - and kill shoot when I can? Cast Kill Command on cooldown. Cast Cobra Shot to generate Focus. Cast Arcane Shot to dump Focus. Cast Kill Shot when the target is below 20% health. Iridar 80 Report post Posted November 17, 2014 You watch your focus level and cooldown on Kill Command. Use Cobra Shot so you always have enough focus to cast Kill Command on cooldown, and spend the rest of the focus on Arcane Shot. Basically, your goal is to hover above 40 focus at all times. So if focus >70 use arcane shot, if focus < 40 use Cobra Shot.

You could make a macro of: Kill Command -> Cobra Shot -> Cobra Shot -> Arcane Shot /castsequence reset=6 Kill Command, Cobra Shot, Cobra Shot, Arcane Shot But it's not a good way to play. Orthios 271 Report post Posted November 18, 2014 as soon as you ding 90 change spec to mm take barrage as a talent and own large groups of mobs with barrage -> multishot spam and enjoy your fast exp ofc with misdirection macros Multishot damage is laughable right now, so that isn't the best advice, but Barrage is a definite for any spec after 90. If you go MM, make sure to group mobs up for Chimaera Shot cleave.
