wow A First Look at MoP Remix in Patch 10.2.7

Check out our first look at MoP Remix coming in Patch 10.2.7!

When Patch 10.2.7 goes live, you will be greeted by the following screen, informing you about the MoP Remix event and its objectives. There will be a button that lets you create your Timerunner (character).

Similar to Plunderstorm, there will be an icon on the character screen for MoP Remix with the number of days remaining.

Timerunners will be marked with a special icon next to their name on the character selection screen.

When you first enter the game, you'll start with a short intro quest on the Timeless Shore. Your character will be affected with the Pandaria: Remix buff.

The quest intro features a few unique quests before you start replaying MoP from the very beginning. It introduces you to Bronze, the event's currency used to buy items and upgrade gear.  

Throughout your journey you will come across some very unique gear just like this cloak (Cloak of Infinite Potential) that permanently increases in power (Timerunner's Advantage).

Your char will have access to two important Timerunning abilities.

• Extract Gem - Extract a gem from one of your socketed items.
• Unraveling Sands - Summon Unraveling Sands that transforms your unwanted items into Bronze.

Gems offer a lot of customization in MoP Remix and you want to extract them with Extract Gem, because placing a new gem on top of a socketed one will make you lose it.

If you come across unneeded gear, you can scrap it for Bronze with Unraveling Sands.

How will transmog acquisition work? Will warrior get more tmog because they can use cloth, staffs, most weapons etc? Or will mages be able to tmog plate drops or get 2H sword tmogs?

I think the vid was talking about the things you can buy with bronze. Which is nice, but i was wondering how the drops would work from raids etc. Like can mages roll/equip/learn tmogs for plate gear? etc. Not only in raids but wherever the gear is being dropped/rolled on.

I saw 'no' somewhere else since there are no other zones aside from the pandaria zones in this world instance.

I can see them reusing this menu template for similar events. Perhaps WoD remix to follow?

This looks exciting. I'll have to hop on the PTR, give things a look. Wonder if/how many extra character slots we might get for our timerunning characters to join in retail once the event ends. I'm excited about rare/unobtainable mounts that I can grind out, cosmetics, and a couple of toys I still need with bronze.

They said you won't be able to tmog an item you can't wear, but those sets/items will be available for your toons that can. Never read anything about different drop rates, I think they will be the same for each class.

Well, even though I started in Cataclysm I really got into the game during MoP. I loved the quests, raids and it's definitely still in my personal top 3 best expansions. Add to the fact that about 99% of my playtime has been with my Pandaren Monk, and this is exactly the update for me. I completely skipped Plunderstorm, also because the rewards were pirate-themed and I never use pirate-themed stuff. But I think I'll enjoy this one a lot! 🙂

edit; I see Chen's hat as an transmog. Now the big question is if this event will finally replace my Shado-Pan hat that I've had on for 10-11 years now. I doubt it, but who knows!

Guess I'll make a new alt to dabble around in the PvE event for some of the rewards.  Been playing Necromancer in Diablo 4 till things heat back up for DF.  Just unlocked the last tier of difficulty and exploring the maps.

I think the amount of Pandaren monks running around is going to be very high lol.

That was the first race/class combo that came to my mind too.

You can buy any tmog with any class. It will be unlocked no matter what
