Roleplaying warlock question.

Hello everyone I have a question. 

I want to have a talent for my warlock and dont know if it breaks lore. 

 

This talent I want to be part of her bloodline, she doesnt know much about her family though and has just discovered she can do this. -that is if this doesnt break lore- 

 

the talent is a protective talent that leaves her vulnerable. She specializes in fire and its her strongest ability. So I want her talent to be where she can project her flame to cloak her allies and people she cares most for. while doing this though she is allowing herself to be vulnerable to attack. since I have it to where she just discovered it she can only do it though touch atm. 

 

If this breaks lore I will remove it. Can let me know if this breaks lore? thanks in advance. XD

I don't do much about RP, but I guess you could go along the lines of a modified burning rush. She expends her life force to create a protective shield, instead of a speed boost like normal.

 

Warlocks are in charge of fel energies, so you can probably go pretty crazy with the imagination. We aren't bound by rules and laws like Mages are.

Keep in mind that warlocks used to be shamans and mages, the path that take going from shaman or mage to warlock would play a lot in to who you are now. A mage that lusted for more power and so stepped in to the demonic and fel magics would make for a poor fit for a protective spell.

 

A shaman that was twisted and corrupted by the need to become more then what they were would be logical in retaining something from their past and wanting to protect close allies. 

 

The spell could also pass to persons that are not close allies if it served the warlock to protect them, disinformation and misdirection are deep in warlock lore.

True. Could always have been a Mage previously, and failed to protect someone through lack of power, thus taking the path to darker powers as a result of that.
