Latest Hunter Changes

  • [The following change to Flanking Strike will be reverted in an upcoming Beta build] Flanking Strike - You and your pet leap to the target and strike it as one, dealing a total of [ 246% of Attack Power 245.9% 300% of Attack Power ] Physical damage. Tip of the Spear grants an additional 15% damage bonus to Flanking Strike. Generates 30 Focus for you and your pet. Flanking Strike generates 2 stacks of Tip of the Spear.
  • Dire Beast - Summons a powerful wild beast that attacks the target and roars, increasing your Haste by 5% for 8 sec. Generates 20 Focus
  • Symphonic Arsenal - Multi-Shot, Carve and Butchery discharge arcane energy from all targets affected by your Sentinel, dealing [ 56% 33.6% of Attack Power ] Arcane damage to up to 6 5 targets within 8 yds of your Sentinel targets.
  • High Explosive Trap - Binding Shackles : Hurls a fire trap to the target location that explodes when an enemy approaches, causing [ 57.33% of Attack Power ] Fire damage and knocking all enemies away. Trap will exist for 60 sec. Targets knocked back by High Explosive Trap deal 10% less damage to you for 8 sec after being knocked back.. Normal: Hurls a fire trap to the target location that explodes when an enemy approaches, causing [ 57.33% of Attack Power ] Fire damage and knocking all enemies away Limit 1.
  • War Orders - Barbed Shot deals 10% increased damage, and applying Barbed Shot has a 25% 50% chance to reset the cooldown of Kill Command.
  • Kill Command - Generates 15 Focus.. Kill Command has a 20% chance to immediately reset its cooldown Normal: Give the command to kill, causing your pet to savagely deal [ 158% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to the enemy. Generates 15 Focus. Tip of the Spear : Give the command to kill, causing your pet to savagely deal [ 158% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to the enemy. Kill Command has a 10% chance to immediately reset its cooldown. Kill Command also increases the damage of your next Raptor Strike by 0%, stacking up to 3 times
  • Flanker's Advantage - Kill Command has an additional 10% chance to immediately reset its cooldown, increased by 100% to 20% when Kill Command critically strikes a target. Tip of the Spear's damage bonus is increased up to 100%, 30%, based on your critical strike chance.
  • Wailing Arrow - Non-Player targets struck by a Wailing Arrow have their spellcasting interrupted and are silenced for 3 sec. After summoning 20 Wind Arrows, your next Aimed Shot becomes a Wailing Arrow. Wailing Arrow resets the cooldown of Rapid Fire and generates 2 charges of Aimed Shot. Wailing Arrow fires off 5 Wind Arrows at your primary target, and 10 Wind Arrows split among any secondary targets hit, each dealing [ 20% of Attack Power ] Physical damage. Wailing Arrow Normal: Fire an enchanted arrow, dealing [ 277.5% 360% of Attack Power ] Shadow damage to your target and an additional [ 112.5% of Attack Power ] Shadow damage to all enemies within 8 yds of your target.   • Tar Trap - All enemies have 50% reduced movement speed while in the area of effect. Trap will exist for 60 sec.. Hurls a tar trap to the target location that creates a 8 yd radius pool of tar around itself for 30 sec when the first enemy approaches Limit 1
  • Posthaste - Disengage also frees you from all movement impairing effects and increases your movement speed by [ 25 50 25% of Spell Power ]% for 4 sec.
  • Born To Be Wild - Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, Initial: Reduces the cooldowns of Aspect of the Cheetah, Survival of the Fittest, and Aspect of the Turtle by 30 sec. Survival: Reduces the cooldowns of Aspect of the Eagle, Aspect of the Cheetah, Survival of the Fittest, and Aspect of the Turtle by 30 sec.
  • Grenade Juggler - Wildfire Bomb deals 5% increased damage and has a 25% chance to also cast an reset the cooldown of Explosive Shot. - Shot at your target at 100% effectiveness. Explosive Shot reduces the cooldown of Wildfire Bomb by 4 2 sec.
  • Explosive Venom - Every 5 cast of Cobra Explosive Shot or Multi-Shot will apply Serpent Sting to targets hit.
  • Huntmaster's Call - Every 3 casts of Dire Beast sounds the Horn of Valor, summoning either Hati or Fenryr to battle Hati Increases the damage of all your pets by 15%. 8%. Fenryr Pounces your primary target, inflicting a heavy bleed that deals [ 480% 320% of Attack Power ] damage over 8 sec and grants you 10% Haste.
  • Spearhead - You and your pet charge your enemy, applying a heavy bleed bleeding that increases your target for [ 300% of Attack Power ] damage over 10 sec and increasing your chance to critically strike your target by 30% for 10 sec.
  • Bombardier - When you cast Coordinated Assault, you gain 2 charges of Wildfire Bomb When Coordinated Assault ends, your next 2 Explosive Shot Shots has its have their cooldown reduced by 100% and its their Focus cost reduced by 100% 100% for 4 sec.
  • Wildfire Infusion - Mongoose Bite and Raptor Strike have a 15% chance to reset Kill Command's cooldown Kill Command reduces the cooldown of Wildfire Bomb by 2 1 sec.
  • Thrill of the Hunt - Barbed Shot increases your critical strike chance by 2% for 8 sec, stacking up to 2 3 times.
  • Explosives Expert - Wildfire Bomb cooldown reduced by 4.0 2.0 sec.
  • Focused Aim - Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire damage increased by 5%. 5.0%.
  • Aimed Shot - Aimed Shot deals 0% bonus damage to targets who are above 70% health. Aimed Shot also fires a Serpent Sting at the primary target. Normal: A powerful aimed shot that deals [ 336.6% 330% of Attack Power ] Physical damage and causes your next 1-2 Arcane Shots or Multi-Shots to deal 70% more damage.   • Exposed Flank - Your Flanking Strike now strikes 2 additional nearby targets at 100% effectiveness, and exposes a weakness in your enemy's defenses, causing increasing the damage of Kill Command by 10% and causes your Kill Command to hit 2 additional nearby enemies for 10 sec.

      Last night, we had a new Beta build and many classes received tuning, so we're starting with Death Knights!
      Death Knight
      Shattering Blade - When Frost Strike damages an enemy with 5 stacks of Razorice it will consume them to deal an additional 100% 125% damage. Festering Strike - Strikes for [ 139.2% of Attack Power ] Physical damage and infects the target with 2-2 Festering Wounds Festering Wound A pustulent lesion that will burst on death or when damaged by Scourge Strike, dealing [ 28.05% 23.85% of Attack Power ] Shadow damage and generating 3 Runic Power. Pillar of Frost - The power of frost increases your Strength by 35% 40% for 12 sec. Rage of the Frozen Champion - Obliterate has a 15% increased chance to trigger Rime and Howling Blast generates 8 6 Runic Power while Rime is active. A Feast of Souls - While you have 2 or more Horsemen aiding you, your Runic Power spending abilities deal 20% 30% increased damage damage.and have a 10% chance to refund a Rune. Hyperpyrexia - Your Runic Power spending abilities have a chance to additionally deal 30% 45% of the damage dealt over 4 sec. Infliction of Sorrow - After Gift of the San'layn ends, your next Scourge Strike consumes the disease to deal 100% of their remaining damage to the target. When Vampiric Strike damages an enemy affected by your Virulent Plague, it extends the duration of the disease by 3 2 sec, and deals 20% 10% of the remaining damage to the enemy Vampiric Strike - Your Death Coil and Death Strike have a 10% chance to make your next Scourge Strike become Vampiric Strike Vampiric Strike heals you for 5% 2% of your maximum health and grants you Essence of the Blood Queen, increasing your Haste by 1.5% 1.0%, up to 7.5% 5.0% for 20 sec. Smothering Offense - This amount is increased for each stack of Icy Talons you have and it can stack up to 2 additional times. Your auto attack damage is increased by 6% 10%. Icy Death Torrent - Your auto attack critical strikes have a chance to send out a sleet of ice dealing [ 80% 160% of Attack Power ] Frost damage to enemies in front of you. Scourge Strike - An unholy strike that deals [ 68.64% 58.34% of Attack Power ] Physical damage and [ 37.81% 32.14% of Attack Power ] Shadow damage, and causes 1 Festering Wound to burst.

      Reddit user Xiantivia came up with some interesting stats about the number of raids and encounters introduced in every WoW expansion up to now!
      Raids like Baradin Hold count as a single boss. Vanilla includes LBRS as a raid but with no bosses to avoid inflating the numbers since LBRS was later changed from a raid. Bonus bosses like Ra-Den in Heroic Throne of Thunder are included. Naxxramas is counted only once as a Vanilla raid and is omitted from Wrath of the Lich King. Raid size and difficulty are not considered in the statistics. The score is calculated by days per encounter divided by encounters per raid, providing a comparison across expansions.
      Vanilla and The Burning Crusade had a substantial number of raids, with 9 raids and 62 and 52 raid bosses respectively. Since then, the number of raids per expansion has decreased, with 3 raids becoming the new standard, as major .3 expansion patches are no longer released.
      The upcoming expansion, The War Within, is expected to follow this trend with no 11.3 patch. However, Blizzard has promised faster expansions, so we can hope that Midnight will arrive sooner rather than later!

      Grimtusk Fishing Hole, one of the requirements for Taivan (good boi mount), is available on live servers this week.
      Players who are working on unlocking Good Boy's Leash probably know the Grimtusk Fishing Hole has not been available since the week of May 1.  Fortunately, you can complete it to get credit towards Taking From Nature this week!

      Head to the Fyrakk Assault area in Azure Span (59 34) and complete the Net Worth quest offered by Gruff Fisher.
      If you can't see the quest chances are you don't have access to Ice Fishing.
      I'm not an avid angler myself, but one player suggests you should have the Secret Fishing Spots first before completing this quest, but those farming Taivan will possibly know.
      Ice Fishing (available at Renown 6 with Iskaara Tuskarr) requires you to craft an Iskaaran Ice Axe. You must loot Pickaxe Blade at 19 24 in Azure Span to do that. If you're using TomTom here are the exact coords where you'll find the item:

      We finally get to see the War Within login screen in its full glory with music in this week's Beta build!
      The previously-datamined War Within login screen has been implemented in this week's Beta build along with the music! You can check it out in the video linked below. Special thanks to Athelarius for the video.
      What do you think about the new login screen? It's a clear departure from the environments we've used to see for previous expansions. Would you rather see the Hallowfall crystal shifting? Let me know in the comments!

      Blizzard will soon temporarily disable the Character Restoration Service in preparation for Warbands and the War Within pre-patch.
      For those who would lie to restore a previously deleted char, it is advised that you do so before the pre-patch goes live.

      Warbands are on the way to World of Warcraft®: The War Within™! In order to prepare all characters for the transition to the new system, which will occur during the pre-expansion content update, we will temporarily be disabling character restoration. 
      For those who would like to restore a previously deleted character, it is advised that you do so before the pre-expansion content update goes live. After the pre-expansion content update goes live, restoration of characters on your World of Warcraft account will be unavailable for a few weeks.
      To restore a deleted character, log into World of Warcraft and click the Restore Character button on your character selection screen. Learn more from our support article. Please be aware that any characters newly deleted during the pre-expansion content period will be unable to be restored during this period.
      What are Warbands?
      The new Warbands system being introduced in The War Within will encompass all of the characters on a player’s Battle.net account as well as the items, collections, and progression they share.
      Many aspects of World of Warcraft have been shared across accounts for some time—essentially a Warband. This includes collection of pets, mounts, transmogs, heirlooms, and more. With the release of Warbands, we are significantly expanding what additional aspects of the game have Warband integration. To name just a few changes:
      New reputations and Renown tracks will be Warband-wide. A new Warband bank will allow you to easily store and share items between your characters. The ability to collect most item appearances with any character in your Warband, regardless of their ability to equip the gear. Learn more about Warbands in our previously published overview.
