Guest Report post Posted December 1, 2014 I've read the updated Ret Pally single target and AOE priority lists and it doesn't mention at what point to start AOEing (i.e. how many mobs? 2+?) Anyone know?
Kulia 39 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 The Icy-Veins guide says "at 4 or more enemies seal of righteousness becomes better" which is your AOE seal, so it'll be about 4 or more enemies.
Astherion 4 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 With a paladin the difference has to compare physical damage and holy damage. CS = 100% physical damage. Hammer = 42% physical damage to current target + 24% to all other targets Note that you will need 3 targets for Hammer to do the same damage as CS. However, most of it will be holy damage which has some bonuses over physical damage so you should definitely start using Hammer on 3 targets. Now, I am not really sure how mastery (hand of light) affects the difference. I believe that with more mastery the difference between CS and Hammer can be so big that Hammer will be better with 2 targets. Templar's Verdict against Divine storm: TS = 200% physical damage DS = 65% holy damage Again, switching to DS on 3 targets will be probably beneficial. If you are not using empowered seals, switch to SoR only when there are 4 enemies that you expect to be still alive in 10 seconds. Note that you should still use DS procs in single-target rotation. It won't give a better damage than TS but it will give a good damage without using any holy power. Level 100 talents: Final verdict - you will have to include templar's verdict even in AOE rotation. zambo 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2014 If you are using FV: Starting at 2 enemies start alternating between FV and DS Starting at 2 enemies start keeping up censure on all of them and alternate judgement targets if glyphed. Starting at 3 enemies start using Hammer instead of CS Seal of Righteouness is pretty lackluster since the lost GCD is a huge deal. Also censure spreading is really efficent at 2-4 targets. Despite this, Highmaul has actually a use for SoR: Tectus when the 4 small adds spawn. You dont lose the GCD because you can swap before they spawn, and they live long enough, so its worth it. Also this Phase is really hectic so censure spreading is hard. If you are not using FV, just compare the numbers of TV and DS. IIRC it's pretty much about the same at 2 targets. DS 2*65% = 130% TV 200% -35%(?) armor reduction = 130%
